Synthesia added Syren to every plan in October 2026, from the free Basic tier to Enterprise, and gave new users 2,000 credits to try it. Syren is the London company’s AI video agent: describe a video, attach a document or link, and it produces the whole thing, from motion graphics and avatars to voiceover and music.

Synthesia was reported to be valued at $4 billion after a funding round in January 2026, built largely on corporate training and enablement video.

How It Works

A user starts with a prompt or a file such as a PDF or help article, and can add brand assets, images or earlier videos so the output matches house style. Syren then directs the video, assembling scenes, avatars, narration, music and b-roll, and renders it while the user watches. Changes are requested in chat, and Syren updates the draft.

Teams that prefer manual control can still use Synthesia’s classic scene-by-scene editor. Syren builds on Synthesia 3.0, released in October 2025, which introduced video agents that can talk with viewers, answer questions and draw on company information inside a video.

Pricing

Synthesia moved to a credits model in October 2026. Basic is free with 500 credits a month and a watermark. Starter costs $19 a month with 1,250 credits, and Pro starts at $89 a month with 6,000 credits, rising with higher credit tiers. Enterprise is custom. Annual billing is advertised as saving up to four months. New users get 2,000 Syren credits that expire after one month.

What to Watch Out For

Synthesia has not spelled out how many credits a Syren video uses or what happens once the promotional credits run out, so heavy users should test real projects before budgeting. The free plan’s allowance was cut sharply in October 2026, and plan names and prices changed several times this year. Interactive features such as branching and quizzes sit on higher tiers. Review AI-written scripts for accuracy before publishing, especially for compliance training. Personal avatars of real employees need consent, and only higher tiers include them, with five on Pro and unlimited on Enterprise.
