Spocket says its AI can build a working Shopify dropshipping store in about a minute. The tool picks a design, writes the pages and stocks the shop with products from vetted suppliers in the US and Europe, then hands it over ready to take orders. Paid plans start at $39.99 a month.
That supplier base is the real differentiator. Spocket quotes shipping times of 2 to 7 days, a sharp contrast with the multi-week waits common on low-cost Chinese marketplaces, and customers receive invoices carrying your branding rather than the supplier’s.
How Spocket Works
The AI store builder needs no design or coding work. You start the process, and Spocket generates a Shopify store with a theme, standard pages and an initial set of products drawn from its catalog of more than 7 million US and EU items. Afterward you can edit the design, swap pages and add more products from the catalog.
Beyond setup, Spocket works as a supplier marketplace inside Shopify. Its research tools surface winning products on Pro and higher plans, image search helps match an item you have seen elsewhere, and you can message suppliers directly. Spocket also links to AliExpress and, on its top tier, eBay for sellers who want a wider range.
The company, based in Calgary, launched its Shopify app in March 2017. The app is available in 19 languages.
Spocket Pricing
Fees are charged through Shopify in addition to your Shopify plan:
- Starter: $39.99 a month with unlimited orders, access to the US and EU catalog, AliExpress dropshipping, image search and a 0 percent transaction fee.
- Pro: $59.99 a month, or $288 a year (about $24 a month), capped at 250 unique products and adding winning products, supplier chat and branded invoicing.
- Empire: $99.99 a month, or $684 a year (about $57 a month), raising the cap to 10,000 unique products and adding eBay dropshipping and Spocket Academy.
Paid plans come with a 7-day trial. The free plan only includes chat support, so in practice a store needs a paid tier to sell.
What to Watch Out For
Spocket’s AI does its heaviest lifting on day one. Once the store exists, product decisions, pricing changes and catalog upkeep largely fall back to you, unlike apps that keep repricing or switching suppliers in the background.
Product costs from US and EU suppliers usually run higher than AliExpress equivalents, which squeezes margins, and the monthly fee comes on top of your Shopify subscription. The Shopify App Store rating of 3.6 from about 630 reviews also trails several rivals, so reading recent reviews before committing to an annual plan is sensible.
