Motion offers eight AI employees, from Alfred the executive assistant to Dot the recruiter, inside the same app that schedules a team’s tasks and calendars automatically. Team plans start at $19 a seat a month billed annually.
Motion was founded in 2019, went through Y Combinator and is based in Mountain View, California, with Reza Khadjavi as CEO. It says more than a million people and teams use its software. Annual recurring revenue reached an estimated $50 million in August 2025, after the AI Employees launch, according to a third-party estimate.
How Motion AI Employees Works
Each AI employee covers a role. Alfred handles executive assistant work, Chip works as a sales rep, Suki as a marketing associate, Millie as a project manager, Spec as a researcher, Dot as a recruiter and Clide in customer support. Teams can also describe a custom role and have Motion build that agent.
Motion’s pitch is context. The agents can see the company’s projects, processes and goals already stored in Motion, so their work fits into existing plans instead of starting from a blank prompt. Underneath, Motion’s original product still schedules tasks automatically around meetings and deadlines.
Motion AI Employees Pricing
Motion sells team and individual plans. For teams, Pro AI costs $19 a seat a month billed annually, or $29 monthly, with 7,500 AI credits per seat. Business AI costs $29 a seat annually, or $49 monthly, with 15,000 credits per seat. Individuals pay $29 or $49 for Pro AI and $39 or $69 for Business AI. Extra usage costs between 19 and 65 cents per 100 credits, depending on plan and billing. There is no free plan; a seven-day trial requires a card.
Pricing has shifted often. In late 2025 Motion briefly sold a separate credit grid for AI Employees, from $49 to $599 a month, before returning to the current structure on December 1, 2025.
What to Watch Out For
Motion does not say how many credits a typical agent task uses, so forecast costs with a pilot. Credits are not spent on creating projects, tasks or automatic scheduling, only on AI work. Some users report being charged at trial sign-up or after cancelling, which we could not verify, so note the trial end date. The agents are most useful if your team commits to running its work in Motion.
