AutoDS Score

Our editorial score across six weighted criteria, based on AutoDS’s published documentation, pricing and public user ratings. How we score

  • Autonomy7.0

AutoDS places supplier orders automatically when a sale comes in, syncs tracking and watches supplier prices and stock, but product choice, store setup and returns outside Fulfilled by AutoDS stay with the seller.

  • Ease of Setup8.0

It installs as a Shopify app with a 3-day trial on every plan, and beginners in reviews say it connects easily to their stores.

  • Pricing Value6.5

Plans are published from $26.90 a month, but order automation needs an add-on or prepaid auto-order credits, product caps apply on every tier and the trial converts to a paid plan automatically.

  • Integrations8.5

AutoDS sells into eight channels including Shopify, eBay, Amazon, Etsy, WooCommerce, Wix, Facebook Marketplace and TikTok Shop, and sources from AliExpress, Amazon, Walmart, CJdropshipping, Temu and others.

  • Trust and Security5.0

Sellers control automated buying through buyer accounts with caps on pending orders and daily order value, or through prepaid Fulfilled by AutoDS credits that stop when the balance runs out.

  • User Sentiment8.4

Trustpilot rates it 4.7 from 26,433 reviews and the Shopify App Store 4.6 from about 1,300, trimmed because several reviewers report unexpected annual charges after a trial and slow refunds.

AutoDS will buy a product from your supplier the moment a customer checks out on your store, even at 3 a.m. That automatic ordering, plus price and stock tracking on supplier listings, is what most dropshippers are paying for. The entry plan costs $26.90 a month on the Shopify App Store, but the automation that makes AutoDS worth having is priced separately.

AutoDS is best for Shopify and multichannel dropshippers selling from AliExpress, Amazon, Walmart, CJdropshipping and similar suppliers who want fulfillment and price tracking handled for them. Owned by Fiverr since mid-2024, AutoDS had more than 150 million supplier products in its catalog and tens of thousands of paying subscribers at the time of the deal. The catch is the add-on structure: order automation needs either a monthly add-on or prepaid auto-order credits, and the 3-day trial turns into a paid plan, sometimes an annual one, unless you cancel. We rate it 7.3/10 on our scale. We have not used AutoDS ourselves; this review is based on AutoDS’s Shopify App Store listing, its own fulfillment guide and third-party pricing trackers.

Key Takeaways

  • On Shopify, AutoDS costs $26.90 a month for 200 products, $39.90 for 500 with price and stock monitoring, or $66.90 for 1,000 products and three stores.
  • Order automation costs extra: an Auto Ordering System add-on from $9.90 a month, or Fulfilled by AutoDS credits from $9.90 for 20 orders down to $499 for 2,500.
  • Fiverr acquired the bootstrapped company in 2024, when it had tens of thousands of paying subscribers; in July 2026 AutoDS added a Claude connector for running a store by chat.
  • Reviews are strong (4.7 on Trustpilot from more than 26,000 reviews), but a recurring complaint is being charged for a full plan after a cheap trial.
  • Against DSers, Zendrop and Spocket, AutoDS covers the most suppliers and sales channels but has no free plan.

AutoDS by the Numbers

AutoDS grew for six years without outside funding before Fiverr bought it in 2024, so most hard figures on the company come from the acquisition announcement and from Fiverr’s own reporting.

Ownership by a listed company is the most useful fact here for a seller deciding whether to build a store around AutoDS. Fiverr reports every quarter and has named AutoDS in its results, which makes a sudden shutdown or sale less likely than with a small independent tool.

The Shopify rating split is worth reading alongside the Trustpilot score. Seven percent of Shopify reviews at one star is in line with the billing and support complaints covered below, while the 85% at five stars reflects how well the core ordering automation works for most stores. The Claude connector is new, so start with product research and reporting before letting an assistant publish listings to a live store.

How AutoDS Works

AutoDS connects your store to supplier catalogs and then runs the repetitive parts of dropshipping: importing listings, keeping prices and stock in sync, and placing the supplier order after each sale. It works with Shopify and seven other channels, each sold as its own plan. Since July 2026, a Claude connector also lets sellers search products and publish listings by chatting with Claude.

Setting Up a Store

  • Install and connect: add the AutoDS app to Shopify, or connect another channel such as eBay, Etsy, WooCommerce or TikTok Shop from the AutoDS dashboard.
  • Find and import products: search more than 1,000 suppliers, including AliExpress, Amazon, Walmart, Alibaba, CJdropshipping, Temu and DHgate, or use the print-on-demand catalog. An AI store builder can assemble a starter store.
  • Optimize listings: AI tools rewrite titles and descriptions, edit images and suggest prices before products go live.
  • Choose how orders are placed: connect your own supplier buyer accounts with a payment method, or fund Fulfilled by AutoDS credits so AutoDS buys with its own accounts.
  • Set limits and rules: cap pending orders and daily order value per buyer account, and set pricing rules for automatic repricing.

What Runs on Its Own

After a sale, AutoDS places the supplier order, updates the order status and posts the tracking number back to the store, with tracking updates arriving in near real time. On the second tier and above, it watches supplier prices and stock so a price rise or sellout does not quietly erase your margin or leave you selling an item you cannot ship. With Fulfilled by AutoDS, a customer refund request creates a return on the dashboard with a one-click return label.

The two ordering routes behave differently. With your own buyer accounts, AutoDS uses the card or gift card saved on each supplier site, and the caps you set limit how much it can spend in a day. With Fulfilled by AutoDS, it buys through its own accounts using credits you have prepaid, one credit per order, so daily account limits do not apply and AutoDS says supported suppliers come with managed shipping fees and cashback. For Chinese or unmonitored suppliers, sellers can also request a sourcing quote, which AutoDS aims to answer within about 48 hours.

What You Still Do Yourself

You decide what to sell, set your prices and margins, run your ads and answer customers. Without Fulfilled by AutoDS, returns are handled manually in your sales channel, and orders placed by hand must be moved through each status yourself. Shipping speed still depends on the supplier, so automation does not make a slow AliExpress listing ship faster. In July 2026 AutoDS added a chat-based option to run a store through Claude, but merchandising choices still sit with the seller.

AutoDS Pricing

The plan prices below are from the AutoDS listing on the Shopify App Store as of October 2026, billed in US dollars every 30 days through Shopify, on top of your Shopify subscription. Add-on and multichannel prices come from AutoDS’s fulfillment guide and third-party trackers of its own pricing page.

Other channels cost more. Third-party trackers of AutoDS’s pricing page list Amazon plans from $64.90 a month and eBay’s top self-serve tier at $86.90, against $66.90 for Shopify. Each paid plan has a 3-day trial that a recent pricing guide says costs $0.99 and converts to the full plan unless cancelled before it ends.

What It Costs in Practice

These scenarios use the listed prices with order volumes we chose for illustration. Shopify’s own subscription and payment fees are extra.

  • A new store testing products: Import 200 at $26.90 plus the hand-picked winning products list at $14.97 comes to $41.87 a month, without price monitoring or automated ordering.
  • A store doing 300 orders a month on Beginner 500: Fulfilled by AutoDS credits cost $0.495 an order in the smallest pack and about $0.20 in the 2,500 pack. That is $59.88 to $148.50 a month for 300 orders, taking the total with the $39.90 plan to $99.78 to $188.40. Buying the large pack upfront costs $499 but covers more than eight months at this volume.
  • An established store on annual Advanced 1K: $608.70 a year against $802.80 paid monthly, a saving of $194.10. The trade-off is a large upfront charge, which is the situation behind many complaints about unexpected annual bills.

Variable costs to watch: auto-order credits that scale with sales, paid add-ons enabled at signup, separate plans for each extra sales channel, supplier price rises on the entry tier, and marketplace fees such as Amazon referral or Etsy listing fees, which AutoDS does not cover.

AutoDS Compared With DSers, Zendrop and Spocket

The four tools solve the same problem with different trade-offs between supplier reach, product sourcing and price.

ToolStarting PriceFree PlanMain StrengthMain WeaknessBest For
AutoDS$26.90 a monthNo (3-day trial)Widest mix of suppliers and eight sales channelsAutomation and extras priced as add-onsMultichannel sellers who want ordering and repricing automated
DSersFree; paid from $19.90 a monthYesLow-cost AliExpress ordering with AI supplier mapping on ProCentered on AliExpressAliExpress-first Shopify stores on a budget
ZendropFree; paid from $29 a monthLimited (no linked products)Own fulfillment, custom branding and Zendrop AI on paid tiersPriced by linked productsStores that want branded packaging and faster fulfillment
Spocket$39.99 a monthLimited (support only)Curated suppliers with supplier chat and branded invoicingHigher entry price; product caps on ProSellers who prefer vetted US and EU suppliers

DSers is the cheaper choice for stores that buy almost everything from AliExpress, and Zendrop suits sellers who want a fulfillment partner and branding. AutoDS earns its higher price when you sell across several channels or suppliers and want one dashboard to place every order. More options are in our Shopify dropshipping agents guide.

Who Should Use AutoDS

  • Sellers who already know what to sell: AutoDS is strongest at running a store once products are chosen.
  • Multichannel dropshippers: one account can cover Shopify, eBay, Etsy, TikTok Shop and more, each on its own plan.
  • Stores with steady order volume: bulk auto-order credits fall to about 20 cents an order, which beats placing hundreds of orders by hand.
  • Owners who travel or work another job: orders and tracking keep flowing without someone at the keyboard.

Who Should Skip AutoDS

  • Beginners on a tight budget: DSers and Zendrop have free tiers, while AutoDS starts at $26.90 a month before add-ons.
  • Sellers who mainly need product research: AutoDS’s product picks come from supplier pools many competing stores also browse; dedicated research tools go further on ad and trend data.
  • Stores with thousands of SKUs on a small budget: self-serve plans stop at 1,000 products on Shopify.
  • Anyone who dislikes auto-renewing trials: the trial converts to a paid plan unless cancelled in time.

What to Watch Out For

  • Trial conversion: cancel before the 3-day trial ends if you are not continuing, and check whether the plan selected is monthly or annual. Several reviewers report surprise annual charges.
  • Preselected add-ons: the order processing add-on is selected by default at signup and can be removed before you finish.
  • Margin protection is not on the cheapest plan: price and stock monitoring starts on Beginner 500.
  • Buyer account risk: automated purchasing through your own supplier accounts uses your saved payment methods, so set daily value and pending-order caps.
  • Refunds: some reviewers say refunds were hard to obtain, so read the terms before paying for an annual plan.
  • Language: the Shopify app is available in English only.

Is AutoDS Worth It? Our Verdict

For sellers who have products that sell and want ordering, tracking and repricing off their plate, AutoDS is worth paying for, and it scores 7.3/10 on our scale. Its supplier and channel coverage is the broadest in this group, and its review base is large and positive, including a 4.6 rating from more than 1,300 Shopify App Store reviews.

Its weak spots are cost structure and billing practices. Budget for the plan, the order automation you actually need, and any add-ons, and treat the trial as a paid commitment you must actively cancel. A new seller testing ideas on AliExpress alone will get more for less from DSers’ free plan first, then move to AutoDS once volume justifies it.
