Uptiq builds AI agents for banks, credit unions and lenders that draft credit and deal memos, summarize loan documents, monitor covenants and handle back-office lending steps. Its customers report up to 41% faster underwriting decisions and 29% lower operating costs, according to Uptiq’s February 2026 funding announcement, which also put the number of financial institutions using it at more than 140.
Uptiq is best for community banks, credit unions and non-bank lenders that want ready-made lending agents and the option to build their own on a finance-specific platform. Two points to weigh are quote-only pricing and a product that spans wealth and fintech as well as banking, so buyers should check what is production-ready for their loans. We rate it 7.6/10 on our scale. We have not used Uptiq ourselves; this review is based on Uptiq’s press releases and its Software Advice listing.

The investor list tells a buyer something useful. Several backers are financial services specialists, and Broadridge appears both as an investor and as a customer, which suggests Uptiq has been through diligence by firms that know financial operations. Curql’s partner Dave Tucker framed the round around systems that run in production rather than demos.
The institution counts need context. Uptiq reported more than 350 institutions in October 2024, more than 300 in February 2025 and more than 140 in February 2026. The releases do not yet explain how each figure is counted, which Uptiq could clarify, so ask how many banks and credit unions use its lending agents in production.
Ready-Made Financial Agents and Tools to Build More
Uptiq offers two things on one platform: ready-made agents for common financial services jobs, and tools to build new agents.
Lending and Banking Agents
For banks and credit unions, Uptiq lists agents for commercial lending, covenant monitoring, loan servicing and banker co-pilots. The October 2024 launch described pre-packaged agents for loan officers, bankers, credit analysts, underwriters and back-office staff, with examples such as drafting deal memos and automating back-office tasks. A typical lending flow looks like this:
- Intake: the agent reads loan applications, financial statements and other documents through Uptiq’s document intelligence.
- Extraction: it pulls figures such as interest rates, payment dates and loan amounts, and connects to credit bureau and accounting data through the Data Gateway.
- Drafting: it prepares a deal or credit memo and plain-language summaries for the banker.
- Monitoring: after closing, covenant monitoring agents track borrower data against loan terms.
- Review: credit analysts and underwriters check the work and make the decision.
Wealth and Fintech Agents
Uptiq also sells advisor co-pilots for onboarding, compliance documentation, portfolio insights and client engagement, and agents for fintechs covering AI underwriting, risk analysis and operations. Banks with wealth arms may use both.
Qore and the AI Workbench
Qore is the orchestration layer under every Uptiq product. It combines document intelligence, a financial skills library, multi-agent workflows and secure integrations. The AI Workbench is the builder on top: low-code and no-code tools, a preset-node workflow builder, retrieval over financial documents, a Model Hub with more than 16 models and a Quick Create Agent feature for fast setup. An Agent Store lets builders distribute agents to customers. Uptiq has said it will open Qore as a self-serve platform for fintech startups, bank teams and independent developers.
Hallucination Control, PII Masking and Traceability Claims
Uptiq describes hallucination control, PII masking and compliance monitoring as built-in features, and says its Financial Data Gateway produces traceable outputs. Banks should map these claims to their own model risk and third-party risk requirements.
Pilot Targets Using Recently Closed Loans
Uptiq’s published results give a pilot clear targets. Agree on these measures with the vendor before launch, and run the agents on a set of recently closed loans as well as live applications, so drafts can be compared with what your credit team actually wrote.
- Decision time: days or hours from complete application to credit decision, against Uptiq’s up to 41% faster benchmark.
- Memo quality: share of agent-drafted memos accepted with light edits versus rewritten.
- Extraction accuracy: errors in rates, dates, amounts and financial spreads, logged by field.
- Covenant alerts: breaches the agent caught, missed or flagged wrongly over a reporting cycle.
- Capacity: applications handled per analyst, the measure behind Uptiq’s claim of double volume without new hires.
Connecting the Core, LOS and Credit Policies
Deployment runs through Uptiq’s team. Expect work to connect the core, digital banking platform and loan origination system, load credit policies and memo templates, and agree which steps an agent may complete before a person reviews it. Institutions on Alkami or Q2 should ask how much of that integration already exists.
Custom Subscription Quotes With No Free Version
Uptiq does not publish prices, and its Software Advice listing confirms subscription pricing by custom quote, with no free trial or free version.
| Option | Price | Billing | What’s Included | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-built agents (banking, lending, wealth) | Custom quote | Subscription | Agents for commercial lending, covenant monitoring, servicing and banker co-pilots | Scope set in the quote |
| AI Workbench and Qore | Custom quote | Subscription | No-code builder, Model Hub, Data Gateway, multi-agent workflows | Sold to partners and enterprises |
| Qore for builders | To be announced | Planned self-serve | Self-serve access for fintechs, bank teams and developers | Announced February 2026, not yet priced |
A Community Bank Automating Credit Memos
A community bank automating commercial credit memos. The quote will hinge on the number of credit analysts and loan officers using the agents, the loan volume and the integrations needed. Uptiq’s customer-reported figure of up to 41% faster underwriting decisions is the benchmark a pilot should test.
A credit union adding covenant monitoring. Monitoring work depends on clean borrower financial data arriving on schedule. Price in the effort to collect statements and map covenants into the system, not only the subscription.
A lender building its own agents. Workbench access adds platform cost and internal developer time. The planned self-serve Qore may lower the entry cost for small teams once it launches.
Hidden and variable costs. Core and loan origination system integration, model usage if premium language models are chosen, model risk validation and staff training sit outside the headline subscription.
Uptiq Compared With Casca, nCino Digital Partners and Rogo
These three are the most relevant banking agents on our site for lending and banker productivity.
| Tool | Starting Price | Free Plan | Main Strength | Main Trade-Off | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Uptiq | Custom quote | No | Pre-built lending agents plus a no-code builder, with Alkami and Q2 integrations | No published pricing | Community banks and credit unions wanting lending agents and custom builds |
| Casca | Custom quote | No | Business loan origination from applicant follow-up to KYB and credit analysis | Focused on business lending only | SBA and small business lenders |
| nCino Digital Partners | Custom quote | No | Agents inside nCino for credit analysis, loan monitoring and documents | Only useful if lending runs on nCino | Banks already on nCino |
| Rogo | Custom quote | No | Research, deal screening and materials for investment bankers | Built for capital markets, not commercial banking | Investment banks and advisory firms |
Banks on nCino will usually start with nCino’s own agents. Casca is the closer rival for small business origination, while Uptiq covers more of the loan life cycle, including covenant monitoring and servicing, and lets teams build their own agents. Rogo serves a different banker. More options are on our banking agents page.
Community Banks and Credit Unions on Alkami or Q2
- Community banks and credit unions with commercial portfolios: credit memo drafting and covenant monitoring take analyst hours Uptiq targets directly.
- Institutions on Alkami or Q2: named integrations shorten the path to banker-facing tools.
- Lenders that want to build: the AI Workbench gives a finance-specific starting point instead of a general agent platform.
- Firms with banking and wealth arms: one vendor covers lenders and advisors.
nCino Banks and Buyers Who Want a Trial
- Banks fully on nCino: nCino’s own agents work inside the system you already use.
- Buyers who need a trial: Uptiq does not currently list a free trial or free version.
- Teams wanting member-facing chat or voice: Uptiq focuses on staff and lending work; look at member service agents instead.
- Organizations outside financial services: the platform is built for regulated finance.
Small institutions with low commercial loan volume should also weigh whether the integration effort pays back. The gains Uptiq reports come from faster decisions and more applications per analyst, which matter most where analysts are the bottleneck.
Customer Results and Named References to Request
The headline results are customer-reported figures published by Uptiq, and naming the customers behind each number would add weight. Ask for references at institutions of your size and loan mix, and run a pilot that measures underwriting time and memo quality against your current process.
Uptiq’s product spans banking, wealth and fintech, and its press releases describe solution categories more than named lending agents. Ask for a demo of the exact workflows you plan to buy, on loans like yours, and confirm which are generally available.
Model risk management applies here as with any AI in credit. Uptiq supports many language models; ask which ones your deployment will use, where data is processed and how outputs are validated. Request security documentation and certifications during procurement.
Finally, building custom agents is powerful but adds ownership. Agents your team builds on the Workbench need testing, change control and someone to maintain them.
Questions to Ask in Procurement
- Which lending agents are live at banks or credit unions today, and can we speak to two of them?
- How does the agent connect to our core, loan origination system and digital banking platform, and who builds that connection?
- Which language models process our data, where are they hosted, and can we restrict the choice?
- What security certifications and audit reports can you share under NDA?
- How is pricing calculated as we add agents, users or loan volume, and what does the Workbench add?
Uptiq’s Series B and 140-Plus Institution Customer Count
- On February 13, 2026, Uptiq raised a $25 million Series B led by Curql, reported more than 140 institutions as customers and announced plans to open its Qore platform to builders.
- On February 13, 2025, Uptiq launched the AI Workbench Developer Edition, with support for more than 16 language models and an Agent Store.
Credible Across the Commercial Loan Cycle, Scored 5.1
For community banks, credit unions and lenders that want AI help across the commercial loan life cycle, Uptiq is a credible option. It scores 7.6/10 on our scale. Its strengths are focus on regulated finance, named digital banking integrations, a builder for custom agents and investors who know banks. Customer-reported gains of up to 41% faster underwriting give a pilot a clear target.
The score reflects quote-only pricing and institution counts that Uptiq could define more clearly. Shortlist it next to Casca and nCino, run a pilot on one loan type with agreed measures, and get the exact scope in writing. Compare more options on our banking agents and agent builders pages.
