America On Tech, a small education nonprofit, built a grant reporting agent on Agentforce Nonprofit to produce more than 50 funder reports a year, each in under an hour, after data pulls that used to take three to four days. That is the clearest early example of what Salesforce’s nonprofit agents are for: taking hours of administrative work off staff who would rather spend that time on donors and programs.
Agentforce Nonprofit is best for mid-size and large nonprofits already on Salesforce, or ready to commit to it, that want agents across fundraising, case management, volunteers and donor service on one data model. It has the most transparent pricing in its category, from $70 per user per month with 10 Core licenses free for eligible nonprofits. Setup usually calls for a Salesforce admin or partner, and part of the agent lineup launched in beta, so simpler onboarding is the main area to grow. We rate it 8.3/10 on our scale. We have not used Agentforce Nonprofit ourselves; this review is based on Salesforce’s product and pricing pages and launch coverage.

The customer rows are worth reading closely. America On Tech reports a measured change in reporting time, while the YMCA, Blue Star Families and Pledge 1% figures were stated as expectations at launch. They show what large nonprofits planned to gain, and measured follow-ups would help other nonprofits judge results.
The pricing rows are where Agentforce Nonprofit differs most from rivals. Most nonprofit AI agents are quote-only. Salesforce publishes per-user prices, includes Flex Credits for agent use in every edition and gives away 10 Core licenses, which lets a small team start without a license bill.
Agentforce Nonprofit Agents by Team
Agentforce Nonprofit combines Salesforce’s nonprofit data model, the Nonprofit Toolkit and Agentforce agents. Because donors, gifts, programs, participants and volunteers live in the same system, agents can draw on all of them.
Fundraising Agents
Prospect Research ranks prospects using philanthropic history, wealth capacity and milestone data, and gives fundraisers background on high-value donors and past engagement before meetings, with Slack support added in 2026. Donor Engagement surfaces donor summaries, giving history, recent touchpoints and relationship status, so a gift officer can prepare a call in minutes.
Program and Case Management
Participant Management supports program staff and case managers. It summarizes a client’s background and services, and during conversations it can take notes, create goals and flag service referrals based on the participant’s history. Pacific Clinics was already using agents at launch, and its CEO said they let staff spend more time listening to and supporting the people they serve.
Volunteers
Volunteer Capacity and Coverage looks for unfilled shifts and matches volunteers by availability, skills and location. For organizations that depend on volunteers, this replaces a lot of spreadsheet and phone work.
Donor Support
Donor Support answers common donor questions at any hour and can handle tasks such as updating a monthly donation, so fundraisers are not pulled into routine service requests.
Building Your Own
Prebuilt agents are starting points. Teams can customize them or build new ones with Agentforce Builder, a low-code tool, and Agentforce Script, which lets staff describe agent behavior in natural language. America On Tech’s grant reporting agent and the YMCA’s member services agent show the kind of custom work nonprofits are doing. Agents are available in Slack, Microsoft Teams and the CRM, and Tableau Next provides dashboards.
A Fundraiser’s Week
Put together, the agents change routine work more than strategy. Before a donor visit, the gift officer asks for a briefing and gets giving history, recent touchpoints and prospect research in Slack. Routine donor emails about receipts or changing a monthly gift are handled by Donor Support. The development director checks a Tableau dashboard rather than asking staff for a report. On the program side, case managers finish sessions with notes and goals already drafted, and the volunteer coordinator sees which weekend shifts are still open with suggested matches.
None of this is new as a set of tasks. What changes is that the CRM does the first pass, and staff edit, approve and spend the saved time with people.
Agents research, summarize, match and answer routine questions. Staff still build donor relationships, decide on asks, handle sensitive client situations and approve anything that changes a donor’s commitment beyond routine requests. Case management agents assist conversations; they do not replace professional judgment.
Getting Agentforce Nonprofit Configured
A 30-day trial needs no credit card or installation. Production use usually involves a Salesforce administrator or implementation partner to set up the data model, migrate donor and program data, configure agents and train staff. Premier Success support is included in every license.
Agentforce Nonprofit Editions and Flex Credits
Salesforce publishes nonprofit prices. All editions are per user per month on annual contracts and apply to nonprofits only.

| Power of Us | Free | Annual | 10 Core licenses for eligible nonprofits | Additional licenses at a discount |

Agentforce Nonprofit Costs for Three Charities
- A small nonprofit with 10 staff users: with 10 free Core licenses through Power of Us, the license cost can be $0, and the org gets 500,000 Flex Credits a year. The real cost is setup help and any agent add-on.
- A 25-person nonprofit on Advanced: 25 x $125 x 12 is $37,500 a year at list price, with 1 million Flex Credits. Power of Us discounts on additional licenses may lower this.
- A large nonprofit with 50 users on Service Max: 50 x $285 x 12 is $171,000 a year, which includes the full Agentforce for Industries suite and 2.75 million Flex Credits.
For many small nonprofits, the useful comparison is total cost of ownership rather than license price. A free license that sits half-configured delivers little, while a modest partner engagement to set up the data model and two or three agents can pay for itself quickly if it replaces manual reporting like America On Tech’s.
Other costs: implementation partners, data migration from other donor databases, extra Flex Credits once included allowances run out, and agent add-ons not covered by your edition. The pricing page lists no price for additional credits or add-ons.
Agentforce Nonprofit Compared With Blackbaud Development Agent, Bonterra Que, Virtuous Momentum and Kindsight
Nonprofit AI agents mostly live inside a CRM, so the choice often follows the database you use.
| Agent | Starting Price | Free Plan | Main Strength | Main Trade-Off | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Agentforce Nonprofit | $70 per user per month; 10 free Core licenses | Limited (Power of Us) | Agents across fundraising, programs, volunteers and donor service | Complex setup; some agents in beta | Mid-size and large nonprofits on Salesforce |
| Blackbaud Development Agent | Custom quote | No | Finds mid-level donors and sends personalized outreach from Raiser’s Edge NXT | Only for Blackbaud customers | Raiser’s Edge NXT users |
| Bonterra Que | Custom quote | Limited | Agentic AI across Bonterra fundraising, grants and case management | Tied to Bonterra products | Bonterra customers |
| Virtuous Momentum | Custom quote | No | Daily prioritized outreach and drafted emails for gift officers | Fundraising only | Major and mid-level gift teams |
| Kindsight | Custom quote | No | Prospect screening, trip planning and briefings | Fundraising only | Prospect research and major gifts |
Agentforce Nonprofit is the broadest and the only one here with a published per-user price. Blackbaud and Bonterra make more sense if you already run their systems, and Virtuous Momentum and Kindsight are sharper tools for gift officers. Browse more on our AI agents for nonprofits page, and see our review of the general Agentforce platform.
If you are choosing between platforms, run the same task through each: prepare a briefing for ten major donors and draft follow-ups. Compare accuracy, tone and how much staff time each needs to finish the job.
Nonprofits Already on Salesforce Running Programs Too
- Nonprofits already on Salesforce: the agents work on data you already have, and the Nonprofit Cloud base is familiar.
- Organizations running programs as well as fundraising: case management and volunteer agents set it apart from fundraising-only tools.
- Teams with an admin or partner: custom agents like America On Tech’s need someone to build and maintain them.
- Small nonprofits eligible for Power of Us: 10 free Core licenses lower the barrier, if you can get setup help.
Raiser’s Edge and Bonterra Shops Can Start With Their Own Agents
- Raiser’s Edge NXT or Bonterra customers: Blackbaud Development Agent or Bonterra Que avoid a migration.
- Very small teams with no technical help: Salesforce is powerful but demanding to configure.
- Grant writers wanting a quick tool: Grantable has a free plan and focuses on proposals.
- Major gift teams wanting one sharp tool: Virtuous Momentum or Kindsight are more focused.
Agentforce Nonprofit Rollout Planning Points
- Beta agents: Volunteer Capacity and Donor Support launched in beta; confirm what is generally available before buying.
- Roadmap disclaimer: Salesforce warns prebuilt Agentforce capabilities may change or not be delivered on time.
- Projected results: most launch customer figures were expectations rather than measured outcomes.
- Credit usage: Flex Credits are included per org per year; heavy agent use may need more, and the price for extra credits is not on the pricing page.
- Implementation cost: partner fees and data migration can exceed license costs for small nonprofits.
- Sensitive data: case management agents touch client records, so review permissions and data policies carefully.
Agentforce Nonprofit Launch Partners
On December 2, 2025, Salesforce introduced Agentforce Nonprofit with four new prebuilt agents and launch partners including Pledge 1%, Blue Star Families, the YMCA of San Diego County and America On Tech. SiliconANGLE reported that the launch extends Salesforce’s Dreamforce 2025 agentic enterprise vision to nonprofits, following vertical agents for government and life sciences.
Agentforce Nonprofit on Our Scoring Scale
Agentforce Nonprofit scores 8.3/10 on our scale. It leads the nonprofit category on breadth and price transparency: agents for fundraising, programs, volunteers and donor service on one data model, published per-user prices, included Flex Credits and 10 free Core licenses for eligible organizations. Integrations with Slack, Teams and Tableau and the ability to build custom agents add to its value.
Simpler setup, general availability for the beta agents, measured customer results and public user ratings for the agent product would lift the score. For nonprofits already on Salesforce, it is the natural first step into agents. For those on Blackbaud or Bonterra, the agents in their current system are usually the simpler place to start.
