Conduit Score

Our editorial score across six weighted criteria, based on Conduit’s published documentation, pricing and public user ratings. How we score

  • Autonomy9.0

Conduit's chat and voice agents answer guests 24/7, create or change reservations through the PMS, sell upsells and open maintenance and turnover tasks, escalating sensitive cases to staff.

  • Ease of Setup8.3

The Startup plan has no implementation fee, but every deployment needs a connected PMS plus written procedures and a knowledge base the agents draw on.

  • Pricing Value8.5

Per-unit prices are published from $18 a month and a flat $899 Startup plan covers up to 25 units; itemizing credit use per action would make budgeting easier.

  • Integrations8.8

Documented connections include Guesty, Hostaway, Hospitable and Breezeway, PMS and OTA messaging, WhatsApp and SMS, plus a REST API and an MCP server.

  • Trust and Security7.8

Conduit documents run-level inspection of the tools and decisions each agent used, procedure controls and escalation rules, and advises human approval for irreversible decisions.

  • User Sentiment9.1

Capterra shows 5.0 out of 5 from 8 reviews under the HostAI name, trimmed for the small sample, occasional reported bugs and requests for a mobile app.

Conduit lists its AI agents at $18 per unit a month, a rare published price in a market where most guest messaging tools sell through quotes. For that, a vacation rental manager or hotel gets chat agents on every guest channel, voice agents that answer calls around the clock, and a unified inbox. At $48 per unit, the agents also open cleaning, maintenance and inspection tasks.

The company was called HostAI until its rebrand and is backed by a $3.1 million seed round led by Pi Labs. It suits rental managers with 20 or more units on a PMS such as Guesty, Hostaway or Hospitable. Credits are the main point to plan for: each plan includes them, and the pricing page could help buyers by saying what each action uses. We rate it 8.7/10 on our scale. We have not used Conduit ourselves; this review is based on Conduit’s published pricing and product pages, an independent review and public user reviews.

$18 to $48 per Unit, or $899 Flat for 25 Units

  • Published prices: $18, $30 or $48 per unit per month, or $899 flat for up to 25 units with every feature and no implementation fee.
  • Chat and voice agents answer guests 24/7, and through the PMS they can quote, book and change reservations.
  • Formerly HostAI, the company raised a $3.1 million seed round led by Pi Labs with Y Combinator and a16z Scout participating.
  • Capterra shows 5.0 out of 5 from 8 reviews under the HostAI name, with one reviewer automating over 75% of guest messages.
  • Credits per action are not itemized, and it works through your PMS rather than directly with Airbnb or Vrbo.

Funding, List Prices and Early User Feedback

Conduit is a young company, so its public numbers center on funding, list prices and early user feedback rather than large customer counts.

For a buyer, the most useful number here is the price. Most guest messaging agents for hotels and rentals sell through quotes, while Conduit lists per-unit rates and a flat plan for small operators, which makes budgeting simpler. The seed round is modest, so this is a startup bet: the investor list is strong, but the company is far smaller than enterprise rivals in multifamily housing.

The user feedback is positive, from a small sample. Eight Capterra reviews and one independent review score are enough to show the product works for some operators, not enough to predict how it handles a 500-unit portfolio. Treat the 75% automation and $40 upsell figures as individual or vendor-linked claims to test on your own guests.

Between the PMS and Every Guest Channel

Conduit sits between your property management system and every channel guests use to reach you. It does not replace the PMS, pricing tool or channel manager. Instead it reads reservation and property data from the PMS and acts on it.

Three Kinds of Agents

  • Chat agents: answer guest questions on email, SMS, WhatsApp and OTA messaging using property and company knowledge, keep the operator’s tone and hand the conversation to a person when needed.
  • Voice agents: answer phone calls around the clock and can also make outbound calls. Conduit lists front-desk questions, amenities, restaurants and group sales as typical calls for hotels.
  • Internal agents: help staff run documented multi-step procedures, answer operational questions and act across connected tools.

Quotes, Bookings and Changes Made Through the PMS

According to STR Specialist’s February 2026 review, the agents can look up availability, give price quotes and create or modify reservations through the PMS. They send pre-arrival messages, answer questions during a stay, log maintenance requests, sell upsells and create turnover tasks. On the Guest and Full Suite plans, guests can pay for upsells in one click and buy damage waivers, and Full Suite extends the agents to smart devices and access codes, cleaning, maintenance, inspections, scheduling and dispatch.

Guesty, Hostaway or Hospitable Plus Your Channels

  • Connect the PMS: Conduit works through the PMS rather than directly with Airbnb or Vrbo. Named integrations include Guesty, Hostaway and Hospitable.
  • Connect channels: email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp and OTA inboxes feed one unified inbox with guest history.
  • Load knowledge: property details, house rules, check-in steps and company policies give the agents what they need to answer.
  • Write procedures: documented steps for common tasks, plus escalation rules for what staff must handle.
  • Review runs: each run can be inspected to see which tools and decisions the agent used, and performance reports show what is working.

Refunds, Disputes and Safety Issues Need People

Conduit itself advises keeping human approval and escalation for sensitive, exceptional or irreversible decisions. In practice that means refunds outside policy, guest disputes, safety issues and anything the knowledge base does not cover. Someone also has to keep procedures and property information current, because the agents answer only as well as the material they are given. One Capterra reviewer reported automating more than 75% of guest messages, which leaves a meaningful share for staff even in a good setup.

Rare Published Prices for a Guest Messaging Agent

Conduit is one of the few guest messaging agents with published prices. Plans are priced per unit per month and each unit adds monthly credits. These figures are from Conduit’s pricing page in October 2026.

PlanPriceBillingWhat’s IncludedLimits
Messaging$18 per unitMonthly per unitUnified inbox, inbound and outbound voice AI, PMS and OTA integrations, workflows and escalation, analytics40 credits per unit per month

AI inspections add-onFrom $10 per unitMonthly per unitAI inspections powered by RapidEyeFull Suite and Startup only

Credits are the variable to watch. The pricing page lists how many credits each plan includes but not how many a message, call or task uses, so request a usage estimate based on your booking volume.

A 20-Unit Manager’s Bill on Messaging

These scenarios use Conduit’s list prices. Portfolio sizes are our own illustrative assumptions.

  • A 20-unit vacation rental manager: Messaging costs $360 a month (20 units at $18). The full feature set on Full Suite would cost $960, so the flat $899 Startup plan is the cheaper way to get every feature. Startup beats Full Suite once a portfolio passes about 19 units.
  • A 100-unit operator that wants upsells: the Guest plan costs $3,000 a month with 6,000 credits. Moving to Full Suite for cleaning and maintenance dispatch costs $4,800, and adding AI inspections at $10 per unit brings it to $5,800.
  • A 300-unit operator using messaging and voice only: Messaging costs $5,400 a month, or $64,800 a year, with 12,000 credits each month.

Hidden or variable costs include credit top-ups if usage exceeds the plan, the inspections add-on and any Overwatch contract. Staff time to write procedures and maintain the knowledge base is a real cost in the first months.

Conduit Compared With HiJiffy, Asksuite and EliseAI

Conduit overlaps with hotel messaging agents on one side and multifamily leasing agents on the other. The closest matches depend on whether you run rentals, hotels or apartments.

AgentStarting PriceFree PlanMain StrengthMain Trade-OffBest For
Conduit$18 per unit per month; $899 flat for up to 25 unitsNoChat, voice and turnover operations with published per-unit pricesCredit use per action not itemized; young companyVacation rental managers and aparthotels on a connected PMS
HiJiffyFrom €149.90 (reported)NoHotel-only focus with 100+ hotel system integrations and 130+ languagesMessaging focus; voice calls need another toolIndependent hotels and hotel groups
AsksuiteCustom quoteNoQuotes live room rates for direct bookings across 400+ booking enginesNo voice agent for phone callsHotels chasing direct bookings on chat and WhatsApp
EliseAICustom quoteNoFull resident lifecycle for apartments, deep Yardi and Entrata integrationsEnterprise contracts; built for multifamily, not rentalsLarge multifamily owners and operators

For short-term rentals, Conduit’s main advantage is that it covers voice and operations tasks, not only messaging, and shows its prices. HiJiffy and Asksuite are stronger choices for traditional hotels that care most about direct bookings and multilingual chat. EliseAI is the better fit for apartment operators, where leasing, renewals and delinquency matter more than check-in codes. See more options in our AI agents for property management and travel guides.

Managers With 20 or More Units

  • Vacation rental managers with 20 or more units: the per-unit and Startup prices make sense at this size, and STR Specialist puts the best value at roughly 20 to 50-plus listings.
  • Operators on Guesty, Hostaway or Hospitable: named PMS integrations let the agents quote, book and change reservations with real data.
  • Teams that miss after-hours calls: voice agents answer around the clock, which matters for late check-ins and lockouts.
  • Managers who want upsells handled automatically: the Guest plan adds upsells with one-click payment and damage waivers.
  • Aparthotels and small hotel groups: Conduit lists these alongside rentals and resorts, with voice agents covering front-desk questions.

One- or Two-Listing Hosts and Long-Term Landlords

  • Hosts with one or two listings: the Startup plan costs $899 a month, and per-unit plans still need a supported PMS and setup work.
  • Long-term residential landlords: leasing-focused agents such as EliseAI or Zuma are built for apartment workflows.
  • Operators without a PMS: Conduit does not connect directly to Airbnb or Vrbo.
  • Teams without time to maintain procedures: the agents rely on documented steps and current property knowledge.
  • Buyers that need extensive public security documentation: large hotel chains with strict procurement should request Conduit’s security materials early.

Credit Use per Message to Confirm

  • Credits: each plan includes credits per unit, but the pricing page does not say how many a message, call or task consumes. Ask for a written usage estimate.
  • PMS dependency: reservation actions run through the PMS, so the depth of that integration shapes what the agents can do.
  • Rebrand confusion: reviews, guides and app listings may still say HostAI, which makes research and support searches harder.
  • Growing product: Capterra reviewers mention occasional bugs, features still in development, sometimes slow support and would like a mobile app.
  • Data export: STR Specialist gave data export its lowest sub-score, so check how you would get conversation history out if you leave.
  • Irreversible actions: decide in advance which reservation changes, refunds and access-code actions the agents may take without approval.

A Pilot Pays for Managers on a Supported PMS

For vacation rental managers and aparthotels with 20 or more units on a supported PMS, Conduit is worth a pilot. It scores 8.7/10 on our scale: strong on autonomy and published pricing, with room to grow through more security documentation and a deeper base of public reviews. Few guest messaging agents combine chat, voice, upsells and turnover tasks at a listed per-unit price.

The main points to confirm are the credit cost per action and how a company of Conduit’s size will support you. Run a trial period on your busiest properties, count how many credits a typical stay consumes and check which reservation changes the agents may make before switching on automatic actions.

Per-Unit Rates for Messaging, Guest and Full Suite

How Much Does Conduit Cost Per Unit?

Conduit lists Messaging at $18 per unit per month, Guest at $30 and Full Suite at $48, each with monthly credits. Portfolios of up to 25 units can take the Startup plan at $899 a month with every feature and no implementation fee.

Is Conduit the Same Company as HostAI?

Yes. HostAI rebranded as Conduit after growing from a guest messaging tool for short-term rentals into a wider set of AI agents for rentals, hotels and other property types. Older reviews and app listings may still use the HostAI name.

Which PMS Platforms Does Conduit Work With?

Named integrations include Guesty, Hostaway and Hospitable, and reviewers mention handing cleaning tasks to Breezeway. Conduit does not connect directly to Airbnb or Vrbo; it reaches those channels through the PMS.

Can Conduit Answer Phone Calls?

Yes. Voice agents answer calls around the clock and can make outbound calls, and voice AI is included from the Messaging plan up. Conduit suggests escalating sensitive or unusual calls to staff.

How Does Conduit Compare With HiJiffy?

HiJiffy is built only for hotels and focuses on multilingual messaging and direct bookings, with voice handled by other tools. Conduit covers voice and operations tasks such as turnovers and maintenance, and publishes per-unit prices, which suits rental managers better.
