Ava, Navan’s AI support agent, handled about 60% of customer interactions in the quarter that ended July 31, 2026, according to the company’s results. Navan, which runs a business travel and expense platform, does not sell Ava on its own: it is the first line of support for every traveler who books through Navan.
That makes Ava less a product to buy and more a reason to pick Navan over another corporate travel provider.
How It Works
A traveler opens a chat in the Navan app or on the web and describes the problem. Because Ava is connected to Navan’s live reservation and payment systems, it can change a flight, cancel or modify a hotel booking, pull up an invoice or answer a refund question itself instead of logging a ticket. When a case is too complex, a human agent takes over. Navan says the agent copes with demand spikes during disruptions, when call queues at traditional travel agencies grow longest.
Ava sits inside a wider architecture Navan calls Cognition, a group of agents that work together, monitor each other and correct mistakes. More than half of Navan’s AI calls now run on its own models. The company is also building TravelClaw, a proactive agent that watches trips for delays, weather and check-in gaps and uses Ava to check alternatives before prompting the traveler. In its latest quarter Navan also launched an MCP connection that lets admins query travel and expense data in plain language.
Pricing
There is no separate charge for Ava. Third-party pricing guides report that Navan Business offers free travel booking with unlimited trips for companies of up to 300 employees, paid for by supplier commissions. Navan Expense is reported free for the first five monthly active users and $15 per user per month after that. Larger companies negotiate Navan Enterprise contracts, usually annual or multi-year.
What to Watch Out For
Ava only works for companies that move their travel program to Navan, so switching costs are the real price. The 60% figure is Navan’s own. Navan publishes little about Ava’s languages or whether it handles voice calls, and TravelClaw was described in May 2026 as still in development with no launch date.
