  • User Sentiment7.5

No public rating of the marketplace itself; neutral score.

AgentExchange is Salesforce’s single marketplace for apps, agents, sub-agents, tools, MCP servers and Slack integrations, and it suits companies that already run Salesforce or Slack and want security-reviewed agents they can install with admin controls. Salesforce rebuilt it in April 2026 by merging AppExchange, Slack Marketplace and the Agentforce ecosystem, and it now lists more than 10,000 apps and over 1,000 agent building blocks.

Browsing is free and each listing sets its own price, with private offers for enterprise contracts. Self-serve public checkout and agentic search are still on the 2026 roadmap. We score it 8.4/10 on our scale.

AgentExchange for Salesforce and Slack Buyers

  • The unified marketplace lists 10,000+ apps, 1,000+ agents, sub-agents, tools and MCP servers and 2,600+ Slack apps and agents.
  • Agentforce Builder suggests relevant agents and tools while you build, and Slack has its own browser.
  • Every listing passes a security review, and admins limit access by user, role and profile.
  • Private offers bring custom pricing, unified billing and automatic provisioning; public checkout is planned for Winter 2026.
  • Salesforce paired the launch with a $50 million AgentExchange Builders Initiative for partners.

AgentExchange by the Numbers

Salesforce has published figures at both launches, the original Agentforce marketplace in March 2025 and the unified version in April 2026.

AppExchange history13 million+ app installs since 2005Salesforce release, March 2025

AppExchange’s history is part of the story. Salesforce launched it in 2005 and reported more than 13 million app installs by the time AgentExchange first opened, so the agent store inherits a long-running buying habit among Salesforce admins.

The jump from 200 launch partners to more than 1,000 agent building blocks in about 13 months shows how fast the agent side has filled. The bigger change for buyers is the merge: an admin no longer checks three separate stores for Salesforce apps, Slack apps and Agentforce components.

The Slack figures matter for companies that run work in Slack but not Salesforce CRM. Slack apps and agents from Notion, Linear and Cursor sit in the same store, and Slack MCP reaches more than 6,000 apps, so a Slack-first company can use AgentExchange without being a heavy Salesforce user.

The 186,000 reviews are a practical asset. They cover listings across the catalog, so a buyer comparing two agents can read what other Salesforce customers found after installing them.

How AgentExchange Works for Buyers and Builders

AgentExchange meets buyers in three places: the web marketplace, Agentforce Builder and Slack. Each route ends in the same install and governance flow.

Searching by Business Need

Search runs on Data 360 and is semantic, so a buyer can type a need in plain words. Salesforce’s example is that a request to speed up sales contracts surfaces e-signature solutions. Results also factor in the buyer’s existing configuration, installed apps and workflows, which narrows the list to things that fit.

Suggestions While Building an Agent

Inside Agentforce Builder, the marketplace suggests relevant agents, sub-agents and tools as you work. If you are building a support agent, it may propose knowledge connectors, case management tools and sentiment analysis. Discovery happens at the moment the gap appears, which is the main difference from browsing a catalog.

Browsing From Slack

Slack users can evaluate solutions in a browser without leaving their workflow. Slackbot suggestions in plain language are scheduled for autumn 2026.

What Gets Listed

The original launch defined the building blocks: actions that add integrations through Apex, flows, APIs and prompts; prompt templates; topics that group actions and instructions for one job; and agent templates that combine several topics. The unified store adds full apps, MCP servers and Slack agents. Companies listed include Docusign, Seismic, Bullhorn and TaskRay, startups such as Poggio, MeshMesh and Supersonik, and Slack apps from Notion, Linear and Cursor.

Installing and Governing

Every solution passes a security review against enterprise standards for security, privacy and compliance. Admins decide which apps and agents are available, manage data permissions, API scopes and integration boundaries, and restrict access by user, role and profile. When an offer is accepted, access is provisioned automatically with the right permissions. A simpler installer inside Agentforce Builder is planned for Winter 2026.

What Admins Check Before Approving a Listing

A Salesforce admin approving a new agent has several signals on the listing itself: the reviews and ratings from other customers, the stated use cases and the compliance indicators. The security review has already been done by Salesforce. What remains is the admin’s own scoping: which profiles and roles will see the agent, which objects and fields its data permissions cover, which API scopes it needs and where its integration boundaries sit. Setting those before the first install keeps a pilot contained to the team that asked for it.

Publishing for Partners

For software vendors, the AgentExchange GTM App handles private offers, unified billing and provisioning. Salesforce says private offers remove weeks from contract negotiations. AI publishing tools for listings and improved listing pages are scheduled for autumn 2026, and the $50 million Builders Initiative combines capital, technical guidance and sales and marketing programs.

A Service Team Adding an Agent, Step by Step

Picture a service operations manager building a returns agent in Agentforce Builder. As she adds topics, the builder suggests a knowledge connector and a sentiment analysis tool from partners. She opens each listing, reads reviews and compliance indicators, and asks procurement to request a private offer for the connector. Once the offer is accepted, access is provisioned to the service team’s profile only. Her admin keeps the sentiment tool hidden from other departments until legal signs off.

How the Store Has Changed Since 2025

The March 2025 version of AgentExchange focused on Agentforce components: actions, prompt templates, topics and, from April 2025, agent templates. Listings could be found on the marketplace or inside Agent Builder. The April 2026 version widened that to every Salesforce and Slack listing, added semantic search on Data 360 and in-flow suggestions, and moved procurement into private offers with automatic provisioning. Salesforce’s partner chief Brian Landsman, now CEO of AgentExchange, described it as evolving the marketplace for the agentic era.

What Buyers Should Budget

Because prices sit with each publisher, the useful planning steps are about structure.

  • Platform costs: listings run inside Salesforce and Slack, so your existing licenses and any Agentforce usage sit alongside the listing price.
  • Several small tools: an agent assembled from three partner components means three listing prices; a private offer with unified billing can bring them onto one invoice.
  • Time saved in procurement: Salesforce says private offers remove weeks from contract negotiations, which matters for teams on a launch deadline.

Free listings exist alongside paid ones, so filter for them when testing an idea before committing budget. For larger purchases, ask each publisher whether its listing supports a private offer, since that route bundles billing and provisioning and lets procurement negotiate terms in one place.

AgentExchange Compared With AWS Marketplace, Microsoft Agent Store and ServiceNow Store

Each large platform now runs its own agent marketplace; the right one depends on where your work already lives.

AgentExchange has the broadest mix of building blocks, from full apps to single actions and MCP servers. AWS leads on deployment options and conversational evaluation, Microsoft on reach inside everyday Office apps, and ServiceNow on IT and service workflows. Salesforce and Slack Teams Extending Agentforce

AgentExchange fits companies that already use Agentforce or Slack and want to add capabilities without building every integration. Admins get one governed store for apps, agents and MCP servers, and builders get suggestions at the moment they need a component.

Platform teams that standardize on MCP benefit as well. MCP servers are listed alongside agents, so an Agentforce agent can reach tools outside Salesforce through a reviewed connector, and Slack MCP extends that to thousands of apps.

Partners and software vendors have their own reason to be there. Salesforce says the unified store gives them better access to its entire install base, and the private-offer tools shorten the sales cycle.

It also suits regulated teams. The security review on every listing, compliance indicators on listing pages and role-based access controls give risk teams something concrete to check.

Companies Outside the Salesforce and Slack Ecosystem

Listings install into Salesforce and Slack, so companies that do not use either will find more value in a cloud marketplace such as AWS Marketplace or an open directory such as Agent.ai.

Teams that want a marketplace to pick and buy an agent for them conversationally will also find that agentic search is still on the roadmap, while AWS already offers an agent mode for discovery and proposals.

Very small Salesforce customers with one admin and no procurement team may find the private-offer process more than they need for a single low-cost tool, and can wait for public checkout or pick free listings.

Small teams that want to click buy at a listed price should note that public-offer checkout is still planned for Winter 2026.

Roadmap Features and Publisher Pricing

  • Roadmap: agentic search, cross-app comparison and Slackbot suggestions are scheduled for autumn 2026; the simpler installer and public checkout for Winter 2026.
  • Pricing: every listing sets its own price, so build a cost sheet when combining several components.
  • Governance setup: decide early which roles and profiles can see and install agents, since access is controlled at that level.
  • Ecosystem fit: listings are designed for Salesforce and Slack environments.
  • Review quality: read reviews and compliance indicators per listing; the security review covers security, privacy and compliance, while fit for your process is yours to judge.
  • Component sprawl: agents assembled from many small partner pieces mean more vendors to manage; private offers with unified billing can reduce that load.

AgentExchange Launches in 2025 and 2026

Salesforce first launched AgentExchange for Agentforce in March 2025 with more than 200 partners. On April 17, 2026, it unified AppExchange, Slack Marketplace and the Agentforce ecosystem into one AgentExchange, and Salesforce Ben covered the accompanying $50 million Builders Initiative and new private-offer tools.

AgentExchange Suits Teams Already Running Salesforce

We rate AgentExchange 8.4/10 on our scale. It has a large, security-reviewed catalog of agents, apps and MCP servers, discovery inside the tools where agents are built and admin controls fine enough for regulated teams. Private offers with unified billing make enterprise buying faster.

Its main advantage is position. Because suggestions appear inside Agentforce Builder and Slack, buyers find components at the point they need them, and the install respects the permissions admins already manage. Few marketplaces connect discovery and governance that tightly.

Areas to improve are mostly on the roadmap: self-serve public checkout, agentic search and comparison, and the simpler installer. For Salesforce and Slack customers adding agents, AgentExchange is the natural first place to look.
