A free plan and trial exist, but US prices are not shown on the pricing page and agent use draws on a monthly allowance.

  • Integrations8.0

The agent operates EHRs, calendars, portals and email through computer use; custom EHR integration is limited to Teams.

  • Trust and Security9.5

Heidi lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 42001, plus HIPAA, and requires approval for clinical and outbound actions.

G2 shows 4.9 out of 5 from 20 reviews, trimmed slightly for the small sample.

Heidi II Moves the Heidi Scribe Into Visit Follow-Up Work

Heidi’s scribe has supported more than 175 million patient visits since February 2024, and in October 2026 the company launched Heidi II to act on what those visits leave behind. The agents prepare charts for a full day’s schedule, audit referral letters, sweep patient panels for overdue screenings and run saved Routines, working inside the EHR, calendar, portal and email systems a practice already uses.

Every clinical decision, prescription and outbound message waits for the clinician to approve it. A free plan exists, the Clinician plan has a 14-day trial, and Teams is quoted. Heidi II scores 8.8/10 on our scale. Clinics in the UK and EU should note that the agent features are not offered there yet.

Heidi II Facts for Clinic Managers

  • Heidi II launched commercially in October 2026, a few weeks after a US$340 million raise at a $900 million valuation.
  • Agents pre-chart, audit referrals, run panel sweeps and save Routines that repeat on a schedule.
  • Clinicians approve every decision, prescription and outbound message before it goes anywhere.
  • Heidi holds ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 42001 certifications.
  • Agent features launched in English and French and are withheld from the UK and EU for now.

Heidi Funding, Revenue and Reach in Figures

Reviews4.9 out of 5 from 20 reviewsG2 listing

The 400 million follow-on tasks are the business case for Heidi II. Those are referrals, orders and recalls the scribe noticed in conversations but left for staff. Heidi II is the attempt to complete them. Revenue rose fifty-fold in two years, to $50 million. That shows clinicians were already paying for the scribe before the agents arrived.

The 62% enterprise activation rate reported with the round is worth asking about in a sales call. It suggests that in large deployments, a share of licensed clinicians do not use the product, which affects the real cost per active user.

The deployment list shows range. Every emergency department in New Zealand uses Heidi, as do 27 KPJ hospitals in Malaysia and NHS England Midlands. Heidi also set up a Japanese entity that hosts data in the country. Buyers in regulated markets can ask for the same in-region hosting terms.

Pre-Charting, Panel Sweeps and Routines in Heidi II

Heidi II opens on the clinician’s schedule for the day. Patient charts, upcoming sessions and pending tasks are already loaded. The clinician can attach a prior visit, a lab panel or a standard operating procedure as context for the agent.

Pre-Charting a Clinic Day

Before the first patient arrives, the agent prepares charts for the whole schedule. It pulls history, recent results and open items into one view so the clinician walks in knowing what is outstanding.

Referral Letter Audits

Referral audits check incoming referral correspondence against clinical evidence. A GP practice that receives dozens of specialist letters a week can have the agent read each one and flag what needs action.

Panel Sweeps for Overdue Care

A panel sweep scans every patient on a clinician’s list for overdue screenings, lab tests and immunizations. The output is a list of patients to recall, with drafted messages waiting for approval.

Routines on a Schedule

Any multi-step job the agent completes can be saved as a Routine and set to run on a schedule across a whole panel. A monthly sweep for overdue cervical screening, for example, becomes a repeating task.

Clinician Memory and Cited Evidence

Heidi learns each clinician’s preferences, templates and formatting rules from their edits. Clinical questions draw on NEJM, Wiley, Cochrane and BMJ Group content, with citations linked to full text for subscribers.

A Monday Clinic Run Through Heidi II

Picture a GP with 24 patients booked on Monday. On Sunday night a saved Routine pre-charts all 24. When she logs in, each chart shows recent results, open referrals and overdue items. Between patients she asks the agent to audit three specialist letters that came in on Friday. It flags one that asks for a repeat blood test. She approves the order draft. At lunch a panel sweep lists 31 patients overdue for a flu vaccine, each with a drafted recall text. She approves 29 and removes two who declined last year. Nothing leaves the practice until she signs.

This scenario uses the features Heidi describes. The patient numbers are our example.

Clinician Sign-Off and the Limits on What Heidi II Sends

Heidi II works through computer use, which means it operates the clinic’s software the way a person would. It reads data and drafts communications across practice management calendars, EHRs, patient portals and email. It builds a plan, runs it and presents the finished drafts. The clinician is not prompted at every step.

Three things always need explicit approval: clinical decisions, prescriptions and outbound communications. Heidi calls the setting configurable friction, so a practice can add more checkpoints. When the agent cannot finish, it says what blocked it, such as a portal login or a missing result.

Heidi Evidence, launched in March 2026, has answered more than 10 million questions since that launch. Inside Heidi II, it means the agent can cite a guideline or study when it flags a referral or an overdue test, and the clinician can open the source.

Internal medical safety teams review features with a clinical risk matrix before and after release. On security, Heidi lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 42001, the AI management standard, plus HIPAA and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Heidi Free, Clinician and Teams Plans

Heidi’s US pricing page shows the plans and what they include. Prices appear on directory listings.

PlanAccessAgent UseOther Inclusions
FreeSign up, one seatLimited usageUnlimited transcription; limited evidence answers
Clinician14-day free trial; reported $150 per user per monthMonthly allowance per seat; Standard or Max seatsEvidence with CPD and CME tracking
TeamsContact salesShared monthly capacity, expandableMixed seat types on one invoice; custom EHR integration; team evidence library

Scribing and evidence questions do not draw down the agent allowance, so a clinician who only wants notes will not run out. Agents, Routines, computer use, memory and connectors do use it.

Cost for a Solo GP and a Five-Doctor Clinic

A solo GP can start on the free plan and try agents within its limited allowance. Moving to Clinician at the reported $150 per user per month costs $1,800 a year.

A clinic with five doctors on Clinician seats would pay $750 a month, or $9,000 a year, at that reported rate. If each doctor saves 20 minutes a day on charting and follow-up across 220 clinic days, the clinic gets back about 367 hours a year, or roughly $24.50 of license cost per hour saved. The 20 minutes is our example input. Run the free plan for two weeks and time your own work before relying on it.

Ask Heidi what happens when a seat exhausts its monthly agent allowance, and whether Max seats or Teams capacity costs more.

Heidi II Next to Hippocratic AI and Infinitus

Few listed agents do what Heidi II does inside a clinician’s own day. Hippocratic AI and Infinitus also automate healthcare work, through phone calls.

A practice could use Heidi II for chart preparation and recalls and a voice agent for the calls that follow. See more options in our healthcare agents category.

The pricing gap is wide. Heidi II can be tried free by one clinician in an afternoon. Hippocratic AI and Infinitus sell to organizations through sales teams. A small practice will usually start with Heidi; a health system may end up running all three for different jobs.

Where Heidi II Is Not Yet Available

  • UK and EU clinics: Heidi withholds the agent features in these regions pending regulatory review. The scribe remains available, including in NHS England Midlands.
  • Non-English and non-French teams: The agents launched in English and French only.
  • Practices needing deep EHR write access: Custom EHR integration sits on Teams; Free and Clinician rely on computer use.
  • Heavy automation users: Each seat has a usage allowance; confirm the cost of extra capacity first.

Setting Up Heidi II in a Practice

  • Start with one clinician: Pick someone who already uses the scribe so memory and templates are in place.
  • Choose one Routine: A recall sweep for one screening type gives a clear before and after.
  • Map the systems: List the EHR, calendar, portal and email accounts the agent will operate, and who owns each login.
  • Write approval rules: Decide who signs off which drafts, and add extra checkpoints through configurable friction.
  • Watch the allowance: Note how much of the monthly agent allowance a week of Routines uses.

Clinics That Gain Most From Heidi II

  • GP practices with large panels: Panel sweeps for overdue care and scheduled Routines handle recall work that often slips.
  • Clinics juggling several systems: Computer use lets the agent work across four to six tools without new integrations.
  • Existing Heidi scribe users: Notes, memory and templates carry over into the agent work.
  • Practices with strict sign-off rules: Required approval on decisions, prescriptions and messages fits clinical governance.
  • Specialists receiving many referrals: Referral audits read and check correspondence before the clinician does.

The $340 Million Round and the October Launch

On September 23, 2026, Heidi announced US$340 million in new funding, made up of a US$100 million Series C led by Blackbird and a US$240 million growth investment from General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund, at a US$900 million valuation. CEO Dr Thomas Kelly said the company is now helping clinicians act on care as well as document it. The company said the new agent capabilities would not be offered in the UK or EU.

On October 2, 2026, HIT Consultant reported the commercial launch of Heidi II, describing cross-system computer use, Routines, panel sweeps and referral audits, and listing the ISO 42001 certification.

Heidi II Scores 8.8 on Our Scale

Heidi II scores 8.8/10. It plans and completes multi-step work across clinic software, keeps clinicians in charge of anything clinical or outbound, holds four security and AI certifications, and lets anyone start free. G2 reviewers rate it 4.9 out of 5, though from only 20 reviews.

Heidi could show its US prices on its own pricing page and publish how far the agent allowance goes. For a practice outside the UK and EU, the way to test it is concrete: run a panel sweep on one clinician’s list, compare the flagged patients with your recall system, and time how long approval takes.

Clinics already paying for the scribe have the least to lose. Their templates and preferences are in place, and the agents use them from the first day. New practices should judge the scribe first, then switch on one Routine.

Larger groups have a different decision. Teams adds shared capacity and custom EHR integration, which matters once dozens of clinicians run Routines every night. Ask for the activation rate in comparable deployments and a usage report after the first month, so the license count matches the clinicians who use it.
