More than 20,000 companies use LinkedIn’s AI hiring tools, and Hiring Assistant is the agent at the center of them. It takes a job brief, finds and evaluates candidates, sends outreach and now runs pre-screens, leaving recruiters to review and decide.
LinkedIn launched it in October 2024 with large employers such as AMD, Canva, Siemens and Zurich Insurance and made it generally available in English in September 2025. It is sold as an add-on to LinkedIn Recruiter.
How LinkedIn Hiring Assistant Works
A recruiter uploads a job description or intake notes. Hiring Assistant turns them into up to 35 qualifications and a search plan, sources LinkedIn members and, when an applicant tracking system is connected, evaluates applicants and past candidates already in it. It drafts and sends outreach in batches of up to 25 candidates and follows up. LinkedIn says the agent does not screen people out or make hiring decisions on its own.
Hiring Assistant 2, announced in September 2026, adds memory of each recruiter’s and company’s hiring history, fit and interest signals, identity and employer verification and voice or text pre-screening. LinkedIn says pre-screens take a median of six minutes to complete. ATS partners include Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters, Zoho Recruit and Tracker, with iCIMS and Workday announced as coming.
LinkedIn Hiring Assistant Pricing
Hiring Assistant requires a Recruiter Corporate or Recruiter Professional Services Plus contract plus the add-on; Recruiter Lite does not qualify. LinkedIn publishes no US price. A UK public-sector rate card lists the add-on at promotional rates of about £1,575 to £2,079 per licence per year, on top of Recruiter seats of £6,350 to £8,925. Capacity tiers set how many candidates each licence can source and evaluate per month, and unused capacity expires monthly.
What to Watch Out For
The agent only finds people on LinkedIn or already in your ATS. Its messages draw on the same InMail pool as recruiters, and seats that send many InMails with low response rates can lose bulk messaging for two weeks. In projects located in the EU, instant outreach is turned off and messages need manual approval. Version 2 is English first, and language support varies by feature.
