PlanRadar AI Agents are automations inside PlanRadar’s construction platform that carry out routine project actions on their own. The first named one, a response agent, reads an incoming RFI, searches the project’s documents and drafts a reply that cites the exact source, which PlanRadar says cuts first-response time from hours to minutes. The agents arrived in August 2026 and are included in every plan, starting with Basic at $32 per user a month.
They are best for contractors, developers and project teams that already run site documentation, defects and reporting in PlanRadar, a platform with more than 200,000 users in over 75 countries. The agents are a first release, with one agent described in detail so far and more planned. We rate them 8.7/10 on our scale, helped by published pricing and strong guardrails. We have not used PlanRadar ourselves; this review is based on PlanRadar’s pricing page, trade press coverage of the launch and Capterra reviews.
Sourced RFI Replies and Plain-Language Custom Agents
- What they do: Run routine project actions when triggered, starting with sourced first replies to RFIs, plus custom agents built from plain-language prompts.
- Pricing: Included across all plans; Basic $32, Starter $107 and Pro $159 per user a month, Enterprise by quote, with a 30-day free trial.
- Guardrails: Each run is checked against the creator’s permissions, every action is logged and attributed, and agents can be tested before going live.
- Scale: PlanRadar has more than 200,000 users across 75+ countries and is ISO 27001 certified.
- Our score: 8.7/10, strong on price transparency and setup, with room to grow as PlanRadar adds to an agent lineup that is still new.

PlanRadar’s Group Co-CEO Ibrahim Imam framed the launch around routine work that takes care of itself without customers giving up control, which matches the guardrails in the table.
Two facts matter most for a buyer. First, the agents come with every plan, so a team already paying for PlanRadar can try them without a new contract. Second, the permission model is conservative: an agent can never act beyond the access of the person who built it, which keeps automated actions inside the boundaries a project already has.
Breadth is the area to watch. Coverage of the launch names the RFI response agent, and PlanRadar calls this a first release. Buyers can evaluate the agents on what works today and look for new ones as they ship.
Tickets on Digital Plans as the Agents’ Workspace
PlanRadar is a construction platform for documentation, reality capture, communication and reporting, where teams log tasks and defects as tickets on digital plans, capture data with checklists, QR and NFC tags, and produce reports. The agents work on that data.
Ready-Made and Custom Agents
Teams can switch on ready-made PlanRadar agents or build their own. Building one means describing the job in plain language, much like briefing a new teammate, according to PlanRadar’s chief product officer Clemens Hammerl. PlanRadar’s forward-deployed engineers can help customers find high-value use cases and build them.
A Worked Example: RFI Responses
- Trigger: a new RFI arrives on the project.
- Search: the response agent searches the project’s documents for the relevant drawings, specifications or prior answers.
- Draft: it writes a first reply that names the exact source it relied on.
- Log: the action is recorded and attributed, so the team can see what the agent did and why.
- Follow-up: the project team reviews the reply and continues the thread as needed.
Creator Permissions and No Approval Step
- Permissions: every run is checked against the creator’s own access, so an agent cannot exceed that person’s rights.
- No approval step: once triggered, an agent completes its action, which is why testing matters.
- Test runs: customers can see what an agent will do before it goes live.
- Logging: every action is logged and attributed.
- Data: agents use existing project data inside PlanRadar’s ISO-certified environment, with no change to how data is stored or processed.
Pick an Agent, Test It, Decide Who Can Run It
For existing customers, setup means choosing a ready-made agent or writing a prompt, testing it on a project and deciding who may create agents. New customers can start a 30-day trial without a credit card, set up projects and plans, and invite subcontractors at no cost. Pro and Enterprise plans add approval workflows and Connect and Open API access for linking other systems.
What to Measure in the Trial
The 30-day trial is long enough to test one or two agents on a live project if the measures are agreed on day one. Keep the scope narrow so results are easy to read.
- First-response time: hours from RFI receipt to first reply, before and after the response agent, against PlanRadar’s hours-to-minutes claim.
- Source accuracy: share of agent replies that cite the right drawing or specification.
- Edit rate: how often a project manager rewrites the agent’s draft before it moves on.
- Mistakes caught in testing: errors found in test runs before go-live, a sign of how much review each new agent needs.
- Adoption: number of agents built by the team itself, which shows whether prompt-based building is practical for your staff.
Record the results per project and per agent. If the response agent saves time on one project, roll it out to similar projects first rather than all at once.
Contractual Answers Still Need a Person
People still own the content of answers that carry contractual weight, such as RFI responses that change scope or cost. Teams should decide which agent outputs go out directly and which a project manager reads first, and limit agent creation to people whose permissions are appropriate for automation.
Agents Included in Every Per-User Plan
PlanRadar publishes per-user prices, and AI Agents are included across all plans as part of its AI features. The pricing page lists an AI Assistant on Pro and Enterprise.
| Plan | Price | Billing | What’s Included | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $32 per user per month | Monthly or annual | Unlimited projects, subcontractors and watchers, 10 digital plans, basic report templates | One user; 72-hour email support |
| Starter | $107 per user per month | Monthly or annual | 30 digital plans per user, basic report templates, SiteView add-on available | Up to 10 users; 48-hour email support |
| Pro | $159 per user per month | Monthly or annual | 100 plans and 1 BIM model per user, QR and NFC capture, custom templates, approval workflows, scheduling, AI Assistant, Connect and Open API | Up to 10 users; 24-hour email support |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | Annual | Unlimited plans and BIM models, document versioning, user metrics, SSO on request, AI Assistant | Minimum annual contract value |
$384 a Year for a Solo Site Manager
A solo site manager on Basic. One user at $32 a month is $384 a year on monthly billing, with agents included.
A five-person project team on Pro. Five users at $159 is $795 a month, or $9,540 a year on monthly billing. The 4% innovation fee from the second billing period adds $381.60 a year at that level, bringing year two to $9,921.60 before any annual-billing discount.
A ten-person contractor on Starter. Ten users at $107 is $1,070 a month, or $12,840 a year on monthly billing. Teams that want approval workflows and API access would need Pro instead.
Hidden and variable costs. The 4% innovation fee, the SiteView add-on, Enterprise minimum contract values and the time to write and test agents all sit on top of the headline prices. Self-service monthly licenses are capped at 10 per account.
PlanRadar AI Agents Compared With Procore Agents, Trimble AI Agents and Trunk Tools
These are the closest construction workflow agents on our site.
| Tool | Starting Price | Free Plan | Main Strength | Main Trade-Off | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PlanRadar AI Agents | $32 per user per month | No (30-day trial) | Published pricing with agents included, plus custom agents from prompts | New agent lineup with one agent detailed | PlanRadar users in site documentation and defect management |
| Procore Agents | Custom quote | No | Drafts RFIs and daily logs, reviews submittals and contracts | No published pricing; annual contracts | General contractors on Procore |
| Trimble AI Agents | Custom quote | No | Agents across Trimble tools for daily reports, submittals and drawing data | Several agents still limited to select customers | Firms on Trimble software |
| Trunk Tools | Custom quote | No | Answers field questions from documents and tracks schedules and submittals | No public pricing; aimed at larger contractors | Large contractors with documents across systems |
Procore and Trimble agents make sense for firms committed to those platforms. Trunk Tools works across document stores. PlanRadar’s edge is transparency: published prices, a free trial and agents included in every plan, which makes it the easiest of the four to test. More options are on our construction agents and project management agents pages.
Current Customers Buried in RFIs
- Existing PlanRadar customers: the agents are included, so the only cost is setup time.
- Teams buried in RFIs: the response agent targets first replies, one of the most repetitive tasks on a project.
- Small and mid-size contractors: published per-user pricing and a no-card trial suit firms without procurement teams.
- Firms with strict access rules: permission checks on every run keep automation inside existing roles.
Procore and Trimble Shops, Plus Estimators
- Procore or Trimble shops: their native agents work where your data already lives.
- Estimators: PlanRadar’s agents do not do takeoff or bidding; look at estimating tools instead.
- Buyers wanting a broad agent catalog today: the lineup is a first release, so these teams may want to check back as it grows.
- Teams that need strong custom reporting: reporting is the area Capterra reviewers most often mention for improvement.
Very large organizations should also check Enterprise terms before committing, since SSO is offered on request, customer success management requires a minimum annual contract value and the agents’ roadmap is still taking shape.
Testing PlanRadar Agents Before They Act on Live Projects
Agents act without an approval step once triggered. That saves time, and it means an RFI reply or ticket update goes straight to people. Testing each agent before going live, starting with internal-facing tasks and expanding to external communication once the output is reliable keeps that in check. An optional approval step for agent actions would be a useful addition for cautious teams.
Permissions cut both ways. Because an agent inherits its creator’s access, an agent built by an administrator can do anything that administrator can. Limit who may create agents and review them periodically.
Read the contract terms. The 4% innovation fee from the second billing period and minimum contract values on Enterprise affect total cost, and only 10 monthly-cancellable licenses are available per account through self-service.
Ask about data and models. Coverage of the launch confirms that agents use existing project data within PlanRadar’s ISO-certified environment, but buyers with strict client or government requirements should ask which AI models process project documents and where.
Platform reviews are mostly positive, and reviewers point to a few areas PlanRadar could improve: the learning curve, admin settings that feel cluttered and report reliability. The agents do not change those areas, so check reporting needs during the trial.
AEC Magazine’s August 2026 Launch Report
- On August 20, 2026, AEC Magazine reported that PlanRadar had added AI Agents, with quotes from Group Co-CEO Ibrahim Imam and chief product officer Clemens Hammerl.
- On August 26, 2026, Construction Management covered the launch, noting the agents are included across all plans and run within PlanRadar’s ISO-certified security standards.
No Extra Cost and a Real Time Saver on RFIs
For teams already on PlanRadar, yes: the agents cost nothing extra and the RFI response agent tackles a real time sink. They score 8.7/10 on our scale. The strengths are published pricing from $32 per user a month, a no-card trial, careful guardrails and a large, well-rated platform underneath.
For teams choosing a platform, the agents are a good reason to include PlanRadar on a shortlist alongside its core platform. The lineup is new, and Procore, Trimble and Trunk Tools currently document more agent workflows. Use the 30-day trial to build one or two agents on a live project and measure RFI response times before and after. Compare more options on our construction agents page.
