v0 is the fastest route on this list from a written idea to a live web page. Vercel says the agent plans the work, creates tasks, connects to databases and builds as it goes, then publishes the result in one click. By September 2025 it had more than 3.5 million unique users, and Teams and Enterprise accounts already brought in more than half of its revenue.
It is best for designers, product managers and front-end teams who want interfaces that are real code rather than static frames. Cost planning takes some care: seats start at $30 per user per month on Plus, and every prompt draws down token-metered credits whose rates have changed several times. A Free plan exists with a one-time $5 credit for new users. We rate it 8.8/10 on our scale. We have not used v0 ourselves; this review is based on Vercel’s published pages, its funding announcement and a pricing tracker that records changes to v0’s pricing page.
Prompts Into Deployable Apps for 3.5 Million Users
- v0 turns prompts into deployable web apps and interfaces, plans its own tasks and connects databases while it builds.
- More than 3.5 million unique users by September 2025, with Teams and Enterprise accounts producing over half of v0 revenue, according to Vercel.
- Plus costs $30 per user per month and Business $100; both include $30 of credits per user, and usage beyond that is billed on tokens.
- Free accounts created after October 5, 2026 get a one-time $5 credit and a seven-messages-a-day cap, according to a pricing tracker.
- Against Lovable and Figma’s agent, v0 is the most code-first choice and the most closely tied to one hosting platform, Vercel.
Reach and Revenue Mix From Vercel’s Announcements
Vercel’s own announcements focus on v0’s reach and revenue mix. The figures below come from Vercel’s own announcements, Product Hunt and a tracker that archives v0’s pricing page.
| Fact | Detail | Source and Date |
|---|---|---|
| Users | More than 3.5 million unique users | Vercel Series F announcement, September 30, 2025 |
| Revenue mix | Teams and Enterprise accounts make up more than 50% of v0 revenue | Vercel Series F announcement, September 30, 2025 |

| Product Hunt rating | 4.9 out of 5 from 60 reviews | Product Hunt, viewed October 2026 |
| Pricing model change | Fixed message counts replaced by token-metered credits; purchased credits expire after one year | Vercel blog, May 13, 2025 |
| Current seat prices | Plus $30 and Business $100 per user per month; Free now gives new users a one-time $5 credit | UsagePricing tracker, October 23, 2026 |
| Token rates | v0 Mini $0.20/$1.20 and v0 Pro $2/$10 per million input/output tokens after an August 11, 2026 cut | UsagePricing tracker, October 2026 |
The revenue mix says the most. When more than half of v0’s revenue comes from Teams and Enterprise accounts, the product is being bought by companies for shared work, not only by hobbyists trying a free prompt. That explains the pricing direction since: a $100 Business seat with data opt-out by default, and a Free plan that now gives new users a single $5 grant.
The pricing history matters as much as the price. Between May 2025 and October 2026, v0 moved from message counts to tokens, roughly doubled per-model rates in February 2026, then cut v0 Mini and v0 Pro rates in August 2026. Buyers should expect the meter to keep moving and budget with a margin.
A Browser and iOS Agent That Plans and Builds
v0 runs in the browser at v0.app and in an iOS app. A project starts with a prompt, a template or an existing design system, and the agent takes it from there.
From Prompt to Working App
- Prompt: the user describes what they want, such as a pricing page, an admin dashboard or a small booking app.
- Plan: Vercel’s homepage says v0 is agentic by default: it plans the build and creates tasks before writing code.
- Build: the agent writes the front-end code, connects to databases and APIs as needed and renders a live preview.
- Refine: the user keeps chatting to change copy, layout or behavior, or switches to Design Mode for visual edits.
- Ship: one click deploys the project to production on Vercel, or the code is pushed to a connected GitHub repository.
Design Mode and Design Systems
For design work, two features matter most. Design Mode adds visual controls with a live preview, so spacing, colors and type can be adjusted without writing a prompt for every change. Design systems store colors, typography and styles that can be reused across projects, which keeps a team’s pages consistent. Templates cover landing pages, dashboards, components and apps and games, with many shared by the community.
Models and Accounts
Since January 2026, v0’s models have been named Mini, Pro and Max, with a faster Max variant added in April 2026, according to the pricing tracker. Paid tiers list access to all models. Users can also sign in with a ChatGPT plan, and from October 2026 eligible OpenAI-model responses can draw on a ChatGPT subscription while a per-request platform fee in v0 credits still applies.
Free Plan, GitHub and Design Mode
- Sign up: create an account on the Free plan to test prompts and Design Mode.
- Connect GitHub: link a repository so generated code lands where engineers already work.
- Define a design system: set colors, fonts and styles once so new projects start on brand.
- Pick a plan: move to Plus for shared projects and a pooled credit balance, or Business for API access and default data opt-out.
- Watch usage: track remaining credits on the settings page; team owners can see usage for the whole team.
People Still Decide What to Build and Review the Code
v0 writes the code, but a person still decides what to build, judges whether the result fits the brand and checks the code before it handles real users, logins, payments or private data. Teams with a separate design tool will also need someone to keep the source of truth in sync, since v0 works in code rather than design files.
Seat Fees Plus Token-Based Credits
v0 charges a seat fee plus usage. Each paid seat includes a monthly credit amount, and credits are spent on input and output tokens. Vercel’s May 2025 announcement explained that context such as chat history, source files and Vercel-specific knowledge counts as input tokens, so longer projects cost more per request. Plan details below are as recorded by UsagePricing from v0’s pricing page on October 23, 2026.
| Plan | Price | Billing | What’s Included | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | None | Deploy to Vercel, Design Mode, GitHub sync, basic usage analytics | $5 one-time credits for new users; 7 messages a day |
| Plus | $30 per user per month | Monthly | $30 of credits per user, $2 of daily login credits, all models, shared credit pool and projects, team analytics, central billing | Usage beyond credits billed on tokens |
| Business | $100 per user per month | Monthly | Everything in Plus, training and data opt-out by default, v0 API access | Same credit amounts as Plus |
| Enterprise | Custom | Contract | SAML SSO, role-based access control, advanced analytics, priority access, support SLAs | Extra credits arranged with an account executive |
Model rates set how fast credits run down. After an August 11, 2026 cut, v0 Mini was reported at $0.20 per million input tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens, and v0 Pro at $2 and $10. v0 Max Fast was repriced to $10 and $50 in June 2026. Purchased credits expire after one year and can be shared across a team.
What $30 a Month on Plus Buys a Designer
These scenarios use the published seat prices and reported token rates. The request sizes are our own illustrative assumptions.
- A solo designer on Plus: $30 a month buys $30 of credits. Daily login credits can add up to $40 more over 20 working days if they are used each day. A v0 Pro request that reads 100,000 tokens of context and writes 10,000 tokens costs about $0.30, so $30 covers roughly 100 such requests.
- A five-person product team on Plus: seats cost $150 a month with $150 of pooled credits. If everyone logs in and uses their daily credits on 22 working days, that adds up to $220 more, for as much as $370 of usage before top-ups.
- The same team on Business: five seats cost $500 a month, $350 more than Plus, for the same credit amounts plus API access and training opt-out by default. For ten seats over a year, that is $12,000 against $3,600 on Plus.
Other costs to plan for: model choice (the same 100,000-in, 10,000-out request costs about $1.50 on v0 Max Fast and about $0.03 on v0 Mini), credit top-ups that expire after a year, and the legacy $20 Premium plan, which is closed to new users and being sunset.
v0 Compared With Lovable, Figma Design Agent and Google Stitch
AI design agents split into tools that produce code and tools that produce design files. v0 and Lovable sit on the code side, Figma’s agent works inside design files, and Stitch sits in between with design output that exports to Figma or code.
| Agent | Starting Price | Free Plan | Main Strength | Main Trade-Off | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| v0 by Vercel | $30 per user per month (Plus) | Limited ($5 one-time credit) | Deployable code, Design Mode and one-click Vercel hosting | Token-metered spend and frequent rate changes | Front-end teams and designers who ship web interfaces |
| Lovable | $25 a month (Pro) | Yes | Full apps for non-developers with simple hosting | Credit use varies by request | Founders building MVPs and internal tools |
| Figma Design Agent | $16 per full seat a month, annual (reported) | No | Works inside Figma files and design systems | Shares one AI credit budget with other Figma AI tools | Design teams already on paid Figma plans |
| Google Stitch | Free | Yes | Multi-screen UI designs with Figma and code export | Daily credit caps and Labs beta status | Early concepts and quick UI exploration |
Pick v0 when the goal is a working web page your engineers can deploy. Pick Lovable if nobody on the team writes code and you want a full app with less setup. Pick Figma’s agent when the design file is the source of truth, and Stitch when you want to explore many layouts for free before committing. More options are in our guides to AI agents for design and AI agents for coding.
Designers Who Want to Ship and PMs Testing Ideas
- Designers who want to ship, not hand off: Design Mode and saved design systems let a designer adjust a real page and publish it.
- Product managers testing ideas: a clickable, working prototype in a single session gives users something real to react to.
- Front-end teams already on Vercel: one-click deployment and GitHub sync fit an existing workflow with no new hosting setup.
- Agencies producing landing pages: templates and reusable design systems speed up repeat client work, and Business adds data opt-out by default.
- Companies building internal tools: the agent connects to databases and APIs as it builds, which covers dashboards and simple admin screens.
Print Designers and Teams Needing Other Stacks
- Brand and print designers: v0 makes web interfaces in code, not logos, social graphics or print layouts; a tool such as Canva AI fits better.
- Teams that need a fixed monthly bill: token metering means two similar months can cost different amounts.
- Design teams whose source of truth is Figma: v0 works in code, so keeping files and code aligned becomes extra work.
- Companies that cannot accept AI training on their data by default: default opt-out applies only to Business seats at $100 per user.
- Free-plan testers with big plans: the one-time $5 credit and seven-message daily cap allow a short trial, not a real project.
Token Rates That Doubled, Then Partly Fell
- Changing rates: since May 2025, v0 has switched to tokens, doubled per-model rates in February 2026 and cut some rates in August 2026. Check the pricing page before each renewal.
- Context is billed: chat history and source files count as input tokens, so a long-running project gets more expensive per message. Starting fresh chats for new features can help.
- Free credits no longer refill for new users: since October 5, 2026, new Free accounts get a one-time $5 credit with a seven-messages-a-day cap.
- Legacy Premium: the old $20 Premium plan is closed to new users and is being sunset, so existing subscribers should plan a move.
- Code review: generated code should be checked by an engineer before it touches authentication, payments or personal data.
- Platform fit: the smoothest path is Vercel hosting. Teams hosting elsewhere can still push code to GitHub, but one-click deployment targets Vercel.
Free Credits Become a One-Time Grant
- On October 5, 2026, UsagePricing recorded that v0 made the Free plan $5 credit a one-time grant for new signups, while seat prices and token rates stayed the same.
- On August 11, 2026, according to the same tracker, v0 cut v0 Mini to $0.20/$1.20 and v0 Pro to $2/$10 per million tokens, and in July 2026 the Team plan was renamed Plus.
- On February 5, 2026, Vercel launched the new v0 on Product Hunt, aimed at production-ready AI coding for enterprises with git workflows, security and integrations; it ranked #2 of the day.
- On September 30, 2025, Vercel closed a $300 million Series F at a $9.3 billion valuation, reporting more than 3.5 million unique v0 users.
- On May 13, 2025, Vercel moved v0 to token-based pricing, replacing fixed message counts with credits.
Fast From Idea to Live Page, Rated 7.5
For designers and front-end teams who want to move from idea to a live web page quickly, yes. v0 scores 8.8/10 on our scale: strong on ease of setup and on producing real, deployable code, with pricing value and default data protections below the Business tier as the areas to improve. More than 3.5 million unique users and a revenue base led by Teams and Enterprise accounts suggest it is past the experiment stage.
The trade-off is cost visibility. Seats are cheap to start, but token-metered credits and frequent rate changes mean the bill depends on how long and how often your team prompts. Start one or two people on Plus for a month, watch the usage page and compare the cost of shipped pages with what a designer and engineer would spend on the same work before rolling it out widely.
Credits, Tokens and Code Ownership in v0
How Much Does v0 Cost Per Month?
Plus costs $30 per user per month and Business $100 per user per month, each with $30 of credits per user and $2 of daily login credits. Usage beyond that is billed on tokens. Enterprise pricing is quoted.
Is v0 Still Free to Use?
There is a Free plan with Design Mode, GitHub sync and deployment to Vercel. Since October 2026, new users get a one-time $5 credit rather than a monthly allowance, with a cap of seven messages a day.
Does v0 Train on My Code and Designs?
The Business plan sets training and data opt-out by default, and Enterprise adds SAML SSO and role-based access control. Teams with client or confidential work should choose Business or Enterprise or confirm their settings on lower tiers.
Is v0 Better Than Lovable for Designers?
v0 suits designers who work with front-end engineers, because it produces code that deploys to Vercel and syncs to GitHub, plus a visual Design Mode. Lovable aims more at non-developers building full apps. Both bill usage through credits.
Can v0 Replace Figma?
Not for teams whose design files are the source of truth. v0 works in code and previews, with visual edits through Design Mode, while Figma manages design files, components and handoff. v0 is better suited to turning an idea or an agreed layout into a working page.
