Perpetua runs Amazon advertising from goals. A seller picks a goal type, a target ACoS and a budget, and Perpetua launches three to six Sponsored Products campaigns, harvests search terms from them and keeps adjusting bids on keywords, ASINs and categories. G2 reviewers give it 4.4 out of 5 across 79 reviews.
It suits Amazon brands that spend steadily on Sponsored Ads and want a bidding engine to do the daily work. Smaller sellers can apply to a startup program, but every plan is quote-based, and brands that also advertise on Walmart or Instacart will need another tool for those retailers. We rate it 8.2/10 on our scale.

The startup program thresholds tell you who Perpetua wants at the small end: sellers already doing at least $1,000 a month with a few thousand dollars of ad spend. Below that, a free tool or Amazon’s own Seller Assistant may be enough.
The campaign counts matter for account hygiene. Ten Advanced goals could mean 60 campaigns, all named by Perpetua’s pattern, so agree on a goal plan before launch.
How Perpetua Turns One Goal Into a Campaign Set
Perpetua sits on top of the Amazon Ads account. Everything starts with a goal, and the goal type decides which campaigns Perpetua builds.
Choosing a Goal Type
Universal goals suit most products and create three campaigns. Auto discovers new search terms as trends change. Keyword runs manual targeting on terms that have performed well. PAT targets ASINs and categories that have converted.
Brand-Based goals add branded phrases, creating Branded PAT and Branded Manual campaigns next to unbranded Auto, Manual and PAT. Advanced goals go further with category and competitor campaigns, six in all. Competitor phrases are entered by the seller, and any phrase that matches a negative target removes the related manual campaign.
Harvesting and Bidding After Launch
Perpetua describes the engine as constantly collecting data from search term reports. Strong performers move from Auto into the Keyword and PAT campaigns, and bids on keywords, ASINs and categories change over time based on performance. High performers can shift between campaigns to lower cost. If Perpetua finds no ASINs to harvest from the Auto campaign or the account’s history, the seller adds ASIN targets by hand so the PAT campaign can launch.
Taking Over Existing Campaigns
Brands with years of campaigns do not have to start over. Perpetua supports takeover of Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands campaigns, with guidance for single and multi-ad-group setups, and Sponsored Display takeover is in early access.
Sponsored Brands, Display and DSP
Sponsored Brands goals cover video, product collection and store spotlight formats. Sponsored Display goals include category refinements and a bid optimization setting. For upper-funnel spend, DSP goals come with a creatives builder, DSP audiences and Amazon Marketing Cloud audience building, plus reporting on new-to-brand and vCPM metrics.
Reporting and Lifetime Value
Perpetua’s help center covers goal performance reports, new-to-brand metrics and vCPM figures in the account overview. It also explains why numbers in a Sponsored Products goal can differ from segment data, and why Sponsored Brands figures can differ from Amazon Marketing Stream data. Those notes are useful for finance teams that reconcile ad reports against Amazon’s own console.
An AMC-powered customer lifetime value dashboard draws on five years of retail purchase data. For a brand selling consumables, that view shows whether a customer acquired through ads goes on to reorder, which changes how much a first sale is worth. A seller who knows that a new customer buys four times over two years can accept a higher ACoS on the first order.
A Launch Week for a New Kitchen Product
A seller launching a new silicone storage line creates a Universal goal with a target ACoS and daily budget. Perpetua builds the Auto, Keyword and PAT campaigns, which appear in the ad console within a day. During the first weeks, Auto finds converting search terms and Perpetua moves them into Keyword. A month later, the seller adds a Brand-Based goal for branded searches and checks negative match suggestions to block wasted terms.
Settings a Perpetua User Still Controls
Perpetua does not say how often bids or harvesting update, so expect changes to show over days and weeks. Sellers who want to see bid moves hour by hour may find Quartile’s hourly adjustments closer to that preference.
The seller decides goal types, targets, budgets and competitor phrases, and supplies ASIN targets when history is thin. Listings, pricing and inventory are outside Perpetua’s scope. Perpetua’s help articles also refer to a Data Strategist and support team for launch delays, so service is part of the experience.
Perpetua Plans Sold by Quote
Perpetua does not publish plan prices. Buyers request access or a demo, and the startup program has its own eligibility rules.
| Plan | Price | Billing | What’s Included | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Perpetua for Startups | Quote-based | Contract terms set at signup | Up to 10 goals, negative match suggestions, three-step onboarding | Sellers with 2+ months history, $1K to $170K monthly sales, up to $5K monthly ad spend |
| Standard customers | Quote-based | Set by contract | Sponsored Products, Brands and Display goals, takeover tools | Scope agreed with sales |
| DSP and AMC | Quote-based | Set by contract | DSP goals, creatives builder, AMC audiences and dashboards | For brands buying Amazon DSP |
Budgeting Around a Quote
Because no list price exists, compare total cost against your ad spend. A seller spending $4,000 a month on Sponsored Ads spends $48,000 a year on media. Any software fee should be judged against the ACoS change it buys: a 3-point ACoS improvement on $20,000 of monthly attributed sales is worth $600 a month.
As a reference point from published rival pricing, Teikametrics Essentials lists $149 a month on annual billing for up to $10,000 in monthly ad spend, or $1,788 a year. Helium 10 Diamond lists $359 a month plus a 2 percent fee on ad spend for its Ads product, so $4,000 of spend adds $80 a month. Ask Perpetua for a quote against those numbers.
Here is a fuller example. A brand with $60,000 in monthly Amazon sales spends $9,000 a month on Sponsored Ads at a 30 percent ACoS, so ads drive $30,000 of that revenue. If goal-based bidding brings ACoS down to 26 percent at the same spend, the same $9,000 now drives about $34,600 in sales. At a 35 percent gross margin, the extra $4,600 of sales adds about $1,610 a month in gross profit. That is the figure to hold any software quote against, and it assumes the improvement holds, which no vendor can promise.
Startup program sellers should ask what happens when they cross $5,000 in monthly ad spend or need more than 10 goals, since the program page lists both as FAQ topics.
Perpetua Compared With Teikametrics, Quartile and Helium 10
| Tool | Starting Price | Free Plan | Main Strength | Main Gap | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Perpetua | Quote-based | No | Goal-based campaign builds with continuous harvesting | Amazon only; no public prices | Amazon-focused brands |
| Teikametrics | $149/month (annual) | No | ARI covers ads, catalog and inventory on Amazon, Walmart and TikTok Shop | 3 percent fee on spend over $10K on higher tiers | Multi-marketplace sellers |
| Quartile | Quote-based | No | Hourly bid changes plus a dedicated strategist | Pricing on request | Brands wanting software plus service |
| Helium 10 | Free; Starter from $49/month | Yes | Research, listings and Pacvue-powered ads in one suite | Ads on Diamond at $359/month plus 2 percent of spend | Sellers wanting one all-round suite |
The biggest practical difference is how much each tool does without a person. Perpetua and Helium 10’s AI campaign launch both start from a product, a target and a budget. Quartile pairs hourly bid changes with a named strategist who meets the client. Teikametrics adds listing and inventory decisions through ARI, so it reaches beyond ads. A brand that only wants ads automated has the narrowest and simplest choice in Perpetua.
Perpetua and Quartile both lean on automation plus people. Teikametrics publishes prices and reaches more marketplaces. Helium 10 is the broadest suite but places its AI Advertising on the higher Diamond plan. Brands That Fit Perpetua’s Goal Model
Brand owners on Amazon with steady Sponsored Ads budgets fit best. The goal model saves the most time where there are many products and search terms to manage.
Teams that also buy Amazon DSP or use AMC get those in the same tool, which keeps full-funnel reporting in one place.
Agencies and in-house teams that manage many ASINs also fit. Goal-built structures give every product the same campaign layout, which makes reporting across a large catalog more consistent and cuts the time spent building campaigns by hand.
Brands that sell consumables or replenishable goods benefit from the lifetime value dashboard, since repeat purchases justify paying more for the first order.
Small sellers within the startup program limits can get started with up to 10 goals, which covers a typical hero product range.
Sellers Who May Prefer Another Ads Tool
Brands that advertise across Walmart, Instacart and Amazon may find Teikametrics or Quartile a better fit, since Perpetua’s help center covers Amazon only.
Very new sellers with under two months of history, or under $1,000 a month in sales, fall outside the startup program. Amazon’s free Seller Assistant or Helium 10’s free plan are reasonable starting points until volume grows.
Sellers who want a published monthly price before talking to sales may prefer Teikametrics or Helium 10. Teams that like to hand-build campaign structures may find goal-built campaigns less flexible, a point some G2 reviewers raise.
Setup Time, Cost Notes and Campaign Naming
G2 user insights put implementation at about two months, longer than plug-in tools. Plan for a learning period while the engine gathers search term data.
Campaign names follow Perpetua’s pattern, Goal Name, Perpetua, ad type and campaign type. Teams with their own reporting should map this in advance. Negative targets can silently remove related manual campaigns in Brand-Based and Advanced goals, so review negatives before launch.
ASIN targeting needs data. If an account has no Auto history and no past ASIN targets, the PAT campaign waits until someone adds targets by hand, so new products may launch with fewer campaigns than expected.
Contract length is another item to settle up front. The startup page lists contract duration and terms as FAQ topics, so ask for the term in writing, along with what happens if ad spend rises above the program cap partway through.
Perpetua could add published plan prices and a security page summary to its product pages. Both would shorten evaluation for smaller sellers.
Our Take on Perpetua for Amazon Ads
Perpetua earns 8.2/10 on our scale. Autonomy and user sentiment score well: the engine builds campaigns, harvests terms and moves bids without daily work, and G2 reviewers rate it 4.4 out of 5. Pricing value sits lower because every plan is quote-based.
The scores for setup and trust are where Perpetua has the most room to grow. A published price sheet, a short security summary and a faster self-serve path for small sellers would each lift the score, and none of them would change the bidding engine that reviewers already like.
For an Amazon-first brand that spends several thousand dollars a month on ads, Perpetua deserves a demo next to Teikametrics and Quartile. Ask each for a quote at your ad spend and compare the fee with the ACoS change you expect.
