Uberall UB-I is the AI agent inside Uberall’s location marketing platform. It monitors listings, reviews and profiles for every location, picks the highest-impact gaps each day, and drafts review replies, listing fixes and local social posts. Nothing publishes until a person approves it, unless the brand moves routine tasks to full automation. UB-I is included in every Uberall plan, and Uberall prices plans by quote.

It suits retail, hospitality, food and automotive brands with many locations that want an agent under clear approval rules. Single-location businesses will find the platform larger than they need. We rate it 8.5/10 on our scale, with high marks for integrations and governance.

The location count is the number that matters most here. An agent that suggests three fixes a day per location produces a lot of work at scale, which is why approval chains and the option to automate routine items exist. A brand with 500 locations could see up to 1,500 suggestions a day, so the approval design decides whether UB-I saves time or creates a queue.

The brand results come from Uberall’s platform overall, not UB-I alone, and they are vendor-reported. They show the kind of outcomes Uberall ties to location marketing: visibility in maps, return on spend and revenue.

The funding and headcount figures describe an established vendor: about EUR 143 million raised, around 400 employees and offices in Berlin, San Francisco, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Cebu. Uberall also acquired MomentFeed, a North American local search provider, in 2021.

Inside the UB-I Approval Workflow

UB-I sits inside the Uberall platform and works from the same location data. The steps below follow Uberall’s UB-I product page and press release.

Setting Up UB-I the First Time

Because UB-I is included in every plan, setup starts from data Uberall already holds: locations, listings, connected review sources and social accounts. The work is in rules. A brand defines its reply voice, chooses which review types need approval, builds approval chains in Collaborate Plus, and decides which tasks, if any, may run without sign-off. A sensible start is everything on approval, loosened by task type as quality becomes clear.

Monitoring Every Location

UB-I runs continuously across listings, reviews and profiles. It checks for outdated hours, missing descriptions, inconsistent data, unanswered reviews and moments worth a local post, such as a holiday or a local event.

Choosing What Matters Most

To avoid flooding teams, UB-I picks the highest-impact gaps, which Uberall puts at three top opportunities per location daily. Its framework, Location Performance Optimization, groups work into visibility, engagement, reputation and conversion, and links tasks to outcomes such as rankings, calls, visits and revenue.

Drafting Replies, Fixes and Posts

For reviews, UB-I drafts on-brand replies and puts negative feedback first. For listings, it corrects hours, descriptions and seasonal promotions. For social, it drafts location-specific posts. The demo also shows bulk jobs such as editing hours across many locations, bulk Google verification and suppressing duplicates.

Approving, Rejecting or Editing

Everything goes into a queue. The team approves, rejects or edits each item, and every action is logged. Approval chains let a regional manager or headquarters sign off before publishing. Thumbs up and down feedback teaches UB-I what the brand likes. Uberall says routine work can move to full automation as trust grows. A practical first candidate is star-only five-star reviews, where a short thank-you carries little risk; complaints and listing changes can stay on approval for longer.

Location Performance Score and Revenue Estimator

UB-I ties its work to two measures. The Location Performance Score rolls visibility, engagement, reputation and conversion into one number per location, so a regional manager can rank stores and see where UB-I should focus. The Revenue Estimator links improvements, such as more map views or calls, to an estimated revenue figure. Uberall’s case material cites 20% more clicks, 25% more visibility and 30% more revenue from local discovery, and notes that individual results vary.

AI Search and GEO Studio

Uberall lists AI search as one of UB-I’s areas and launched GEO Studio, built with AthenaHQ, in 2026 to help brands track and improve how they appear in AI-generated answers. For a brand, that means review replies and listing accuracy now also feed what AI assistants say about each location.

A Restaurant Chain Example

A 200-location restaurant chain turns on UB-I with approval chains: store managers approve review replies, and regional marketing approves listing changes. On a Monday, UB-I flags that 14 locations still show summer hours, drafts the corrections, and queues replies to 60 new reviews, with the eight negative ones on top. Regional marketing approves the hours in bulk. Store managers edit two replies and approve the rest. After a month, the chain lets UB-I auto-post replies to five-star reviews with no text.

What Teams Keep in Their Hands

Teams set brand voice, approval rules and automation scope. They resolve complaints offline and handle anything legal or sensitive. They also confirm facts UB-I cannot know, such as a temporary closure for renovation, before the agent updates listings. UB-I’s default of human approval keeps final say with people.

Getting a Comparable Uberall Quote

Ask Uberall for a price per location per month at your current location count, the directories included, the plan tier, and whether Collaborate Plus is included. Then ask for the same number of locations from two rivals. Because UB-I is bundled, the fair comparison is the whole location marketing platform, not the agent alone. Brands already paying for Uberall get UB-I without a new line item.

A bundled agent changes budgeting. There is no per-reply or per-task fee to forecast, so heavy review volume does not raise the bill the way usage-priced agents can. The cost to watch is internal: approver time. If each approval takes 20 seconds and a brand approves 1,000 items a week, that is about 5.5 hours of staff time weekly, which falls as more routine work moves to automation.

  • Location count: price usually scales with locations, per reviewers.
  • Directory count: more directories can raise the price, per reviewers.
  • Governance tier: confirm Collaborate Plus if approval chains and SSO are needed.
  • Country split: one reviewer with several countries wanted a single bill, so ask how multi-country accounts are billed.

Uberall UB-I Compared With SOCi Genius Agents, Birdeye AI Agents and Yext Scout

Location marketing platforms have all added agents.

Yext ScoutSee Yext listingNoSearch and AI visibilityReviews one part of the suiteSearch-focused brands

UB-I’s selling point is governance: approval is on by default, chains match how large brands sign off, and every action is logged. SOCi starts from adjustable autonomy per location, and Birdeye from breadth of agents and integrations. Yext Scout is the choice to look at when search visibility, including AI answers, is the main goal and reviews are one input. A brand comparing all four should score each on approval controls, listing sync reliability, review site coverage and the quality of draft replies in its own voice, using the same ten real reviews for every vendor demo. See all options on our reviews and reputation agents and retail agents pages.

Brands That Suit Uberall UB-I

  • Retail and fuel brands: Uberall names customers such as BP, Shell, TotalEnergies, Marks and Spencer and adidas.
  • Restaurant and quick-service chains: KFC UK and Ireland, Pizza Hut and Pret A Manger are listed customers.
  • Brands with strict sign-off rules: approval chains and activity logs fit regulated or brand-sensitive teams.
  • Companies on SAP: Uberall has an SAP Store listing.
  • Brands tracking AI search: GEO Studio and UB-I’s AI search work target visibility in AI answers.

Businesses That May Prefer Another Reputation Agent

  • Single locations and small chains: Cloutly or IONOS AI Reputation Manager are lighter.
  • Brands wanting fully automatic replies from day one: UB-I starts with approvals on.
  • Teams needing a posted price: Uberall quotes plans.

Listing Sync and Approval Load Considerations

Capterra reviewers report cases where the dashboard showed updates that had not appeared on platforms, or where syncs needed manual refreshes or support tickets. Since UB-I’s listing fixes depend on that sync, test it in a pilot by changing hours at a few locations and checking each directory yourself.

Approval load is the second issue. Three suggestions per location per day add up fast. Design approval chains so routine items go to one approver, and move low-risk work, such as replies to five-star reviews with no text, to automation once quality is clear.

Reply ownership needs a decision too. When store managers approve replies, they should know what they may promise, such as a refund or a callback, and who follows through. Write those rules into the brand guide UB-I learns from.

Multi-country brands should test replies in each language and check how directories differ by country, since Uberall serves brands across Europe and North America and lists offices in six cities.

Uberall’s results figures come from its own case studies, and its UB-I page notes that individual results vary. Set your own baseline for clicks, calls and ratings before turning UB-I on, so you can measure the change.

UB-I Releases and Uberall Milestones

Uberall debuted UB-I in 2025 as agentic AI for location performance. On November 4, 2025, it launched UB-I 2, which it described as moving from observing and suggesting to carrying out marketing actions across listings, reviews and social within brand parameters. Uberall’s information page also lists GEO Studio, built with AthenaHQ and launched in 2026, and support for the Model Context Protocol.

How Uberall UB-I Scores for Location Reputation Work

Uberall UB-I scores 8.5/10 on our scale. Integrations, trust and user sentiment score high: 150+ directories, approval by default with logs, and 4.6 out of 5 on Capterra. Autonomy is good, held back slightly by the approval-first default. Setup and pricing score lower because Uberall is sold through sales with quoted plans, although UB-I itself costs nothing extra.

For brands not yet on Uberall, UB-I is a reason to include Uberall in a platform review, not a reason on its own to switch. Compare the whole platform, listings accuracy, reporting and support, alongside the agent.

For an existing Uberall customer, the next step is simple: turn on UB-I for a region, set approval chains and measure how many suggestions are approved unchanged after four weeks. A high share of unchanged approvals is the signal to automate that task type.
